Crowds jam Sandy River for rare smelt fishing opportunity

In the 1970's I fished for smelt outside of Michigan City, IN. We used nets attached to poles. Once a salmon get caught in a net and destroyed it. We caught several 5 gallon bucket fills. Used scissors to gut and behead them.
