Well, I may have stumbled onto my new favorite band!!!!!!! The end of Rush has left a giant sonic hole in rock culture and music. Nature abhors a vacuum and someone will come and fill that niche. The beauty of this situation is that if you are going to attempt this you better bring the best musicians in the world together and take Neal's perfectionism to the next level. This can only be a win for us listeners and a lovely tip of the hat to the integrity of Rush. Bravo to Crown Lands. You have achieved something special here.

Kevin not only plays exactly like my favorite guitar player Alex Lifeson but his guitar tone is straight off of Hemispheres. Crown Lands, this world needs inspiring lyrics like this. I was heartbroken when Rush (gracefully) took a bow. These guys, much like porcupine tree taking over for pink floyd, picked up where Rush left off, and we are all better off for it. These guys are one of the few bands in recent years to make my jaw drop.

Have been a big Rush fan for decades, and like many was saddened by their retirement and wrenched when Neil passed away. I heard this song on my local radio station yesterday while driving with my wife, and we were having a conversation so I could only hear bits and pieces of the song. That was enough however to think that there were a lot of “Rush”- like elements to the song, without being just copycat stuff. Now that I’ve watched this video and heard the whole song, it’s clearly a great song and performance in its own right, and indeed a respectful yet mind blowing nod to Rush. Gonna download some Crown Lands music now...
