Oh, wow, I LOVE this! Does some of it remind of of my favorite band? Sure. Do I care? Nope. Listening to this gave me the same giddy feeling I got the first time I heard Hemispheres almost 40 years ago. This music showed me that I can still feel happiness. I'll take that all day long.

I could close my eyes and almost imagine myself back in my old university dorm room, or my old family home, with Permanent Waves or Moving Pictures or Grace Under Pressure on the turntable. And yet, not. They're heavily influenced, but they're themselves. Every now and again I hear a lick or a vocal effect that evokes Steve Howe or Jon Anderson, too. (LOL. Go figure). Man, this is great stuff. I'm looking forward to hearing more, and hearing it evolve. Thanks, CBC, for running a story on these two, and pointing me at them.

Really well done guys, conceptually and aesthetically. Of course, the music is killer. Takes me back to the days of listening to my older sister's Permanent Waves album. That was my gateway to Rush. I feel very fortunate to have grown up in that era. Thanks to all the rock preservationists out there.

Me Too!! Perminent Waves was the 1st Rush album I ever bought and the 1st tour I ever saw them on. I've seen them 37 times since and have never missed a tour!🤘

This is one of the best songs I have heard in a bit. It changes throughout, and keeps it interesting. The sound is so smooth, unique vocals. Love Rush, similar vibe, but more catchy, little less progressive. I cannot believe how much the sound has changed in the last year. This is so fresh. Have listened to this tune about 12 times in the last 2 days, doesn't lose anything.

I heard that CoS influence too... but also influences from other eras of Rush. For instance, the ascending line @5:25 reminds me of something from Time Stand Still.

@@FPMuller That's one of the interesting things I'm finding about this song. I hear the Rush influence... some little pieces remind me of very specific snippets of Rush songs, the overall feel is kind of Rush-like, some of the chords (and use of harmonics) remind me of Alex, the drumming is clearly inspired by Neil... but the band is, refreshingly, not a Rush clone. I shared this with my boss and he mentioned Marillion, Tea Party, Led Zep, and Triumph. I think I hear a little Yes and Genesis. All-in-all, this song (and Right Way Back) have me looking forward to a lot more from Crown Lands. (edit: and I can't wait for this covid crap to be over so I can see these guys for myself sometime. I mean, they're practically my neighbours anyway... just a couple towns away.)

I freaking love this! Amazing song and video. You’re keeping that Rush sound alive but in your own unique and fresh way, not just trying to *be* Rush (because let’s be honest, that’s impossible). I just found your music and I’m already hooked. Thanks so much!!

Fantastic!! *NEW* progressive "80s rock radio"... I dare anyone to say rock music has been bested, since the era of Van Halen, Rush, YES, Triumph, Styx, and /ASIA\ playing ("NEW!") songs on your local rock radio. (CROWN LANDS - take this show on the ROAD!!!) A new fan in South Florida, Douglas (P.S. Thanks to my buddy Ed for the tip to check out this band today. Good call, sir!)
