Oh, wow, I LOVE this! Does some of it remind of of my favorite band? Sure. Do I care? Nope. Listening to this gave me the same giddy feeling I got the first time I heard Hemispheres almost 40 years ago. This music showed me that I can still feel happiness. I'll take that all day long.

This song gives me faith in the human race once again. I have watched this at least ten times already. I love the story about how this was tracked on the kit Peart used on Snakes and Arrows the day after they found out he had passed away. Gave me chills. I'll let you in on a secret- she was already the band's full-time drum tech. But since touring was shut down by COVID, she started working from home as a witch. It'll be interesting to see whether she goes back out on the road with the band when the pandemic is over, or if there's more money to be made in witchcraft.

Yes as a long time and I mean long time Rush fan I approve. This is great these guys are keeping this style of music alive and I wish them success and would love to see them. They aren't a total clone of Rush but they are keeping that Rush sound alive a sound that influenced so many musicians and inspired so many people to become musicians. You all know the sound of which I speak that hard edged yet big majestic sound that Rush made. It is a sort of sonic tradition that these guys are keeping alive and I thank them for it.

Well, DAMN! I just found me a new music act. This is terrific. I could close my eyes and almost imagine myself back in my old university dorm room, or my old family home, with Permanent Waves or Moving Pictures or Grace Under Pressure on the turntable. And yet, not. They're heavily influenced, but they're themselves. Every now and again I hear a lick or a vocal effect that evokes Steve Howe or Jon Anderson, too. (LOL. Go figure). Man, this is great stuff. I'm looking forward to hearing more, and hearing it evolve. Thanks, CBC, for running a story on these two, and pointing me at them.

I really liked the early goofy Rush songs that were basically somebodies D&D campaign set to music. Just long meandering epic stories that would never see the light of radio. This sits well next to those, almost like a lost genre.

This is one of the best songs I have heard in a bit. It changes throughout, and keeps it interesting. The sound is so smooth, unique vocals. Love Rush, similar vibe, but more catchy, little less progressive. I cannot believe how much the sound has changed in the last year. This is so fresh. Have listened to this tune about 12 times in the last 2 days, doesn't lose anything.

@@FPMuller That's one of the interesting things I'm finding about this song. I hear the Rush influence... some little pieces remind me of very specific snippets of Rush songs, the overall feel is kind of Rush-like, some of the chords (and use of harmonics) remind me of Alex, the drumming is clearly inspired by Neil... but the band is, refreshingly, not a Rush clone. I shared this with my boss and he mentioned Marillion, Tea Party, Led Zep, and Triumph. I think I hear a little Yes and Genesis. All-in-all, this song (and Right Way Back) have me looking forward to a lot more from Crown Lands. (edit: and I can't wait for this covid crap to be over so I can see these guys for myself sometime. I mean, they're practically my neighbours anyway... just a couple towns away.)

I dare anyone to say rock music has been bested, since the era of Van Halen, Rush, YES, Triumph, Styx, and /ASIA\ playing ("NEW!") songs on your local rock radio. this is good but not as fun / crazy as UNICORN HOLOCAUST or some of the new stoner prog bands like JERUSALEM WITCH. and ORANSI PAZUZU (sp?) do some sick PSYCHEDELIC metal too!
