From Leo: I spent a lot of time in that first neighborhood on the North Side of North street. That was 55 years ago. It looks better now than it did then. The second neighborhood across Indiana ave, with the pre WWII homes, was always pretty good and peaceful.

It's Merrillville, not Merisville. The majority of the shopping amenities are in Hobart, not Merrillville.

Those little houses cost way more than that Andrew. Those little homes you have just shown in the beginning run in the 270k and up.

24 years ago the historic district you drove thru ,which is actually 3blocks behind CP police department, I purchased and lived there. Back then it was 80 thousand 😳

It appears to be a nice place to live. in my opinion the housing prices are a little expensive.
