People literally are shook whenever they hear this song, some people even get emotional and cry(I'm sometimes one of those people). Domenico Lane That's what you always get from these albums. This wasn't made by the members of MCR, and while it has bands I enjoyed... the overall quality of the whole thing was extremely disappointing and was only made to make money. They're good songs but.. whoever chose the list to cover the specific songs fucked up, and the songs themselves just don't seem to give honor to the original album. Magazines and record labels will do literally anything to make extra money, so when they see the 10th anniversary for an album amazing as the black parade.. ideas of ways they could profit just start bursting from the seams. That being said I did enjoy a majority of it, but it would've been amazing if MCR themselves had released this. Because you bet it would've been A HELL OF A LOT MORE MEANINGFUL than this.

This is a decent cover, but as an MCR fan, I have some problems with it. I mean I don't care about the piano difference but the F note sounds more hollow and Avenged Sevenfold-ish feeling. The G note did make it a little more emotional. I'd ramble more but that's all I can say for now. Decent cover though. :3

For all the covers, everyone keeps talking about it not being a good cover etc. These songs are done well. They played well, they sang well, they did it as their bands would do it. Kinda like punk goes pop, but punk goes MCR. But none of them ever triggered that cathartic quality that MCR, and specifically Gerard's voice brought out for us all. Above all the anger, fear, sadness, depression and disappointment, the catharsis that MCR brought to us as a band made their songs so good, and I guess that's what we're missing listening to these. Just makes me wanna listen to more MCR~

I think the thing about the original album as a whole, but this song in particular, is that there's magic in it that no one, no matter how talented, can recreate. There's this electricity in the first notes of this song. Welcome to the Black Parade is larger than life but it doesn't feel like too much, it doesn't feel campy or overboard. It just feels right so it's not even on Crown the Empire, I don't hate this cover (I didn't like that they changed the opening because it's ICONIC) they're really talented, it's just that I don't think that there's anything that anyone can do to try to recreate the sort of magic that MCR had and made others feel with this song, let alone with this album.
