Thank you for this video. I replaced the ddm, checked fuses, swapped master switch. Nothing. Tested green wire at ddm and nothing. Found your video. Green wire and tan brown wire broken in door jamb. Has power but have not fixed yet. Looks promising. Thank you!

Just what I was looking for. My rear defogger, heated side mirrors, door ajar sign and central locking only works sporadically. Try to fix it this way, hope it will work.

That is very helpful. But any idea what numbers I should test for 12V on the DDM? I have a 2007 Grand Marquis GS.

What does doing this solve ? Were your speakers not working or were you having some kind of electrical issues in the door ?

That circuit is shared by part of the instrument cluster power, so if the splice breaks, you'll get a bunch of warning lights on the instrument cluster for systems that aren't broken.
