We saw your video about this 40 day stay on your other channel. Maybe you can make some recommendations? My wife and I are looking for a place to stay in SE Asia this Fall to gain the 40 days for our newly acquired IHG card. We also need a place to chill as my wife is having both knees replaced (right one this Jan, left one this May). We will be leaving the states for SE Asia in September. We want a (very) nice place where we can hunker down. Exercise in the gym and pool, have easy trips to town, eat great food and frankly, where she will be spoiled rotten. Also, my wife is VERY social, she makes friends everywhere. Where would you go? We hadn't really considered Vietnam until watching your videos. But if you were going to look for a place to recover and rebuild functional strength (she will have been released by the Dr and able to travel by Sept) where would that be?? Vinh Yen, Bankok, Jomtien, Kuala Lumpur, Georgetown, others??? Thanks Allie!!!!

Crown Plaza is great but You did not mention how far it is, 1 hr from the airport to an industrial town, freeway is below par. get to dowtown is like 2 hrs! Even Im a Vnamese like me. This is freaking far!!

@@travelasiawithallie I thought it was a little far from the airport. The pool was too short. Staff is great!!. Check out Anatolehotelhanoi, not an IHG but dntwn , very plush!!. I enjoyed Crown Plaza in KLCC. I also took a service apartment in District 1, SGN on the 34th flr, oversee the river, beautiful infitini pool, called Lumiere Masteries. its about 1.6M Dng=$62usd. Will come back to VN in September. Wish I can meet you. Love KLCC.

Thank you Allie. I'm keen to try this hotel. I've had numerous bad experiences with Air BnB and am delighted with all of the amazing information you and your husband have been giving on hotel hacks. I'm not ready to travel full time but would definitely be interested in escaping southern US summers. Where are your favorite places in the world to travel during June/July/August?

We always love SE Asia but some find it's too hot. It can be a bit cooler in the UK but it will also be a bit more expensive.
