I don't know what went on before the start of the recording, but I didn't get the impression that either of them was playing. The cat seemed mostly curious and puzzled by the crows' behaviour, until one of them nipped its tail. At that point, the cat seemed to go from "WTF is going on here?" to "Oh crap, should I fight them or GTFO?" The crows, as others have mentioned, most likely have a nest with chicks nearby, and are trying hard to drive the cat away. I can hardly fault them for that.

This reminds me of an incident years ago when I was living with my parents. We would sometimes throw out bread that was starting to get old in our backyard for the crows. They must have kept a constant watch from nearby trees because the instant we threw out the bread we would hear them start cawing and a few of them would fly into our backyard to get the bread. One time there was a problem though; our big tom cat was lying on the ground a couple of feet away from a piece of bread. A crow landed near the bread but was a bit nervous about the cat so he just stayed put for a while. It was amusing watching the crow trying to keep one eye on the bread and the other on the cat while the cat just nonchalantly looked at the crow as if nothing out of the ordinary was going on.

Is there a nest nearby? Could be defensive behaviour. Or just crows being crows and taunting the kitty, lol. I had a crow (well three crows, actually, but it was mainly the one until he rallied his two buds) chase me two city blocks because apparently I looked at him the wrong way in passing. He was head-diving me, and shrieking at me just like these two. He kept after me for two blocks, and I finally ran under a viaduct, and I was afraid to come out the other side in case he was laying in wait. But apparently out of sight out of mind, when I emerged, he was nowhere around. You can bet I double-timed it to the next busy street though, and I kept looking over my shoulder the whole time.
