You know, no other vlogger has so consistently given me new AND useable information. We’ve been on two cruises as a family and I’m constantly searching for new tips. Our third is booked and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that someone like you will be on that one. We could use some inside knowledge to help us find the best bang for our buck.

We absolutely loved Cabanas for breakfast! It was our favorite meal of the day. We always sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful views! It's really neat on port days to see the scenery start moving as the ship turns completely around to back in. And the service is awesome! I would try to carry trays of food for our family of 5, and a cast member would always come and help carry everything to our table, and even offer to fill our cups for us and bring them back.😊 Totally not expecting that at a buffet. BIG thumbs up DCL!❤

Our favorite thing was going to cabanas and then sitting outside on the patio. It’s so much fun to enjoy the views, sounds, and fresh air!

I totally agree! I like the Magic and Wonder area better.. more shaded options and not as crammed in my opinion.. but one of my favorite spots on all four ships! It also helps me to get out of bed in the morning knowing I will be eating a delicious hot breakfast sitting on the ocean :)
@MathewLauren6 жыл бұрын
Totally agree! It’s also really cool when the ship is in a port that’s beautiful because you can get a small taste of the city. :)

We ate Cabanas for dinner this past August for the first time (kids too tired to change and go to main dining) and it was worth it for the gorgeous view alone. Definitely going to schedule it in this year!

Two words...Mickey waffles. Oh, and stone crab claws on sail away day. The same stone crab claws that would cost you a fortune at Joe's in Miami Beach are on the buffet that first lunch. I just made a huge pile of them on my plate and headed aft to the outside tables at the stern. Awesome.

I like to get up early, go to the deck that has the walking/jogging track (on Magic it is Deck 4), walk for an hour, and then go to Cabanas for breakfast. Then go back to the room to shower and get ready for the rest of the day.

Warm Krispy Kreme donuts on our last cruise.. Sushi bar on Day at Sea!!
@DisneyCruisers6 жыл бұрын
Yes the sushi!! I am a picky sushi eater and I do wish they would not put three diff types on one plate because there is really only one thing I like on the plate. But just the fact they offer it blows my mind. My kids love the donuts with the chocolate on top. I am more of a dunkin girl however, but I know people rave about those Krispy Kremes on the ships :)

I’ve heard if you bring some milk, cereal and fruit to your room you can eat on the morning you leave the cruise it makes getting off the ship that much faster because you don’t have to feel rushed eating breakfast at Cabanas
@DisneyCruisers3 жыл бұрын
Yes that is totally a great tip! I however like being able to take my time in the morning and eat at cabanas. Then I go into every bathroom I pass for one last look, then I chill in the atrium until I get the courage to walk off the ship lol.. I have a problem .. lol

We usually eat at Cabanas on the day we board. We enjoy sitting at one of the outside tables and looking at the other cruise ships docked at Port Canaveral. We've also eaten there at breakfast, though I prefer an order-off-the-menu breakfast. Unfortunately, on days we have a Port Adventure, we usually have to be off the ship before anything else opens.

Cabanas is a normal sit down for dinner. It is used in the event no one goes to formal nights.

Yes! Sometimes I enjoy eating dinner in there, other times, it isn’t the best.

Disney Cruisers it would not be a great idea for Disney to have any casinos on its cruises.

You forgot the most important detail. It’s NOT setup as a buffet line for a reason. You don’t need to queue and walk down the area in order. Step up to the station you’re interested in waiting for the person in front of you, serve yourself, and walk to the next station. It drives me crazy when people don’t know what they’re doing up there because they are used to a buffet line. They purposefully removed the line and tray runners from the old ships as it’s more efficient the way they have all ships setup now. Now, if more people would just use them properly and stop getting so fussy thinking people are cutting in front of the line that doesn’t exist, we’d be in business! Do a how NOT to behave video on this...Plez! ;)

YES! This is brilliant! I always hate when people give me dirty looks because they think I have cut in front of them! Very well said!

Gosh it drives you crazy, that people don`t know what they are doing. How about being a person and if you see someone who appears to be driving you crazy due to their ineptitude, give them some information. It`s the nice thing to do.

Is it the same food on Disney fantasy ? Also do they not serve dinner daily in cabanas ? Thanks
@DisneyCruisers4 жыл бұрын
Dinner in cabanas is every night except first and last (normally). And yes.. the same food except that on linger itineraries they do a few more options on the other days.. like one day they might have one of the sections be Mexican food.

So you can fill a buffet plate and take it “to go”?
@DisneyCruisers6 жыл бұрын
Yes!! You can take your tray with your food on it anywhere. BUT make sure you grab the rolled up napkins with silverware in them-- they are on the tables :) I do also believe that they have things you can use to cover your food with, or maybe just to go type plates like paper plates. However, I have always just used the real plates and cups. You can even leave them in your stateroom and your host will take care of them for you.

Do they serve curry dishes or Mexican food or other types of cuisine on the buffet?
@DisneyCruisers6 жыл бұрын
Cabanas does offer international cuisine, however it is nothing fabulous. It is good but not something I would go out of my way to make sure I get. If you have a pirate night they usually have a buffet late at night that serves tacos. During lunch you will find a small international section that changes daily. I have seen lo mien, sushi, basmati rice, and curry. They do not serve this in the main dining rooms, but I have heard of cruisers telling their servers they love Indian food, and some have been surprised by the chefs and have had curry dishes brought out for them to eat as their meal.

I strongly preferred to go to the restaurants, rather than Cabanas... but, if we wake up late or get late to lunch, Cabana is not bad.

Just got back from the Dream cruise ship. Cabanas was terrible ! If you try to eat alone, good luck ! I lost my seat 3 times for getting up to get a drink, get a second course and trying to get a napkin ! Also, a little girl just ran up and grabbed a hand load of bread and ran away ! Yuck !
@DisneyCruisers5 жыл бұрын
Oh my goodness! Yes! I could def see why sitting by yourself would be difficult!!! Hmmm I don’t even know how to make sure that stops happening? The only thing I would think to do if it were me would be to ask a cast member to stand by your table.

The back of the ship is called the stern not the aft
@DisneyCruisers5 жыл бұрын
I always say aft because that is how Disney refers to it and that is what they label the elevators.. its a habit..
