Crucifixion has always given me nightmares and I always had a reoccurring nightmare of dying by Roman crucifixion when I was a kid growing up. The creepiest ones were nightmares where I saw the last five hours of the lives of real life crucifixion victims from their vantage points. One was a Sudanese Christian man who's family, village, and tribe were exterminated by the muslim government and he was taken hostage and then killed by Roman crucifixion for being a Christian. The most unsettling part is that I had the nightmare and saw the last five to seven hours of this man's life 3 1/2 years before he was crucified. I remember reading the international news article and being startled by visually seeing all of the horrors that the article was describing down to the very last t and then getting a chill down my spine knowing that the event was only two days old when I read about it on the desk top computer.

@Psyche0delic10 ай бұрын
We have no evidence that this "jesus" ever existed; but the Romans did crucify a lot of people. What they would not have wasted money on, however, is nails. They cannot just pop down to the Home Depot and buy a box. Nails had to be made by blacksmiths; and metals were rare, expensive, and difficult to come by. Not to mention that nails, once the weight of the body was upon them, would just rip right through hands. I mean like rip through your palm, so your hand was free again. Feet too. There is no central bone in hands and feet. It is just muscle and skin; a nail would rip right out of it. Not to mention nails would speed up the death through blood loss, which is the opposite effect of crucifixion. The Romans tied people to T's, not "crosses", as they would not waste that little bit of wood at the top either.

If soldiers would break your leg bones it wasn't a extra punishment. They did that after a person stays really long hanging on a cross, if they break his bones he won't be able push himself up so he will die really fast.

When i asked for a vid on the crucifixion I didn't think I'd get it, but y'all did your research and made the vid. Most of the facts are correct, so thanks! Jesus' crucifixion is an attested historical event, and this shows it. The gospel was a real story!
@mr_jchristian4 жыл бұрын
@The NIFB Jesus I agree with you when you say that the Romans crucified tens of thousands of people, and yet there is nearly a unanimous agreement amongst New Testament scholars and Historians that the crucifixion of Jesus is the most Historically attested crucifixion of all. That, although not ultimate proof, does seem to suggest that Christianity is true. I think you'll find the argument, amongst the many others used to prove Christianity, compelling if you approached objectively, and not from a materialistic viewpoint. I'm also not going to argue or discuss your claim about Christianity being a bunch of fairy tales. I'm not an apologist and neither is this the platform to discuss apologetics and Christian History. For that I would recommend, "Cold Case Christianity" by J. Warner Wallace and "I don't have enough Faith to be an Atheist" by Frank Turek. I think you'll find that both men have objectively examined Christianity under a microscope, with a fine tooth comb, and have found it's claims concerning creation and history to be true.
