I must have missed where you said the 12V71 came from. Transmission and driveshaft from a firetruck. Front and rear from a school bus. Truck was a 12 foot flatbed, for a septic service company.

Your pre oiler is an oil injection pump for your motor? does it use an oil injection pump from a large outboard motor, i assume you are using TCW3 outboard oil or SAE 40w for a water cooled 2 stroke force fed from the bottom from the sump.

it draws oil from the pan though a check valve an into the oil filters to pre fill them.

it never gets above 190 Im not running under hard load, and it also has small injectors.
