I just did the conversion and that would be 77° f and for me personally I would be sweating up a storm anything above 72 and I just start getting hot but I have an abnormally low body temperature it's a little different when you're in a country or an area that is routinely a lot cooler so your body has never had to adjust and get used to what is relatively for most of the world a mild temperature so I'm never going to dog on anybody for them not being able to handle something

Wonderful job as always. You brightened up not only her drive but her day. Lots of older folks don't get to see many people and when they do, those people might not have the time to talk/visit. You are a good young man, you spoke to her, let her make you a cuppa, and had a nice little visit. I am also sure her family appreciated how kind and helpful you were to their lived one. Now, about those boys, oh my goodness. Remember, I'm a granny myself with a grandson same age as Arthur. I was blown away from the counting and walking down the stairs and now today those sweet faces covered with ice cream ?! They are so precious and smart, kudos to you and your beauty.

Dude, honestly I needed this today after a really traumatic day. Seeing what you did for Joan and her daughter and son in law has brought me next to tears. I understand what it is to crave a simple conversation as I live with severe depression and am isolated from friends (I am moving closer). Again so wonderfully handled and a great clean. I love the sanding part I find it really satisfying, I must confess I didn't know you wet it afterwards :) and it's so colourful I didn't expect that. Awww theo is so sweet. I'm glad he had a good sports day. Aww theo and Arthur are two very smart, funny sweet boys...a pure credit to you and your lovely lady. That's enough emotion I'm off to bed :)

I use to install custom windows and doors for a living, and it was always a pleasure to hear what the older folks would tell about their childhood. It was like stepping into a different world, which it really was. And it definitely is a very important part of building a bridge between yourself and the customer. You don't just see the person for the money but for the real human being he or she is.

Having worked in Aged Care here in Australia for 20+ years with people with Dementia, I can tell you that your time reminiscing with your client is the best thing you could have done for her, except for the excellent job with paving of course.❤️❤️❤️

I always think, England is a country with proper gardens. We are all so busy working to pay the bills and raising our children with all their activities. We just all get behind and then it’s just so overwhelming to get our homes and gardens back to a functioning and enjoyable state. What you did for this lady was so kind and I know it made her day. Thank you for making her day. I swear, a little chat makes a whole lot of difference for them who have dementia. I lost my aunt to dementia last year. She fought it for 7 years before her body fully gave in. One of our biggest regret was not talking to her more. We were living in different continents (She lived in Sydney, I was in the Philippines) and thanks to covid, we were unable to go see her physically. We would "talk" to her via video call whenever my cousins would visit her and they said she would always have a renewed spark of life in her eyes after.

What a kind thing to do for this family, Dementia like Alzheimer's is a really rough illness and I've known someone who passed away from Alzheimer's. I'm sure what you did for them was a blessing. Wicked mate, you've learnt fairly young that to be successful takes more than just doing a good job. The difference a chat and a bit of kindness can make to someone like Joan and others with either mental or physical problems can literally be the difference between someone waking up in the morning and someone not. That's why it breaks my heart a little more each time to see these people who strive to cope under horrible circumstances get ripped off by Tradesmen and scammers with no morals. This was lovely to see. I could not believe the amount of sludge you were having to scoop up! I work in customer service and learned early on that many seniors don't have people to talk to. One phone interaction can make their day. I always tried to make time to chat with them for a bit, if they wanted, even if it messed up my stats for the day. Some just wanted to share a joke, or some advice, or tell a story; others were a longer chat, or wanted to share a few stories, or some advice on gardening, cooking, books, finance, pets, traveling, you name it. I avoided politics and religion, but otherwise indulged then happily. I learned a lot from people that way, and I know they appreciated being heard.
