I know the good man Taeha always has very high tier things that I’m jealous of but I want to say that I took a Keychron Q series board and when you build it the way Taeha builds all his boards (meticulously, with high quality components and usually NO foams like ever), it sounds similar to this. Prob some elements that this has that Q series doesn’t but I just wanted to share for those without tremendous budgets, Q series with meticulously-lubed Cherry switches & great stabs, and decent key caps (plus a quick force break via your choice of tape), and swap to PC or Aluminum plate (from the default steel) plate) it can sound pretty dang similar to this! For whatever that’s worth. Ty for the vids Taeha you always build the dopest boards!

I’d say getting a Bakaneko and case modding it with a paper towel is also another way to get an endgame level sound. You could even spice it up by pairing it with an aluminum plate.

I’m not a fan of this board for other reasons. But you shouldn’t sum up this hobby and this board based on value or sound. It is all preference

Getting the high premium clack sound is usually from a foamless board with lubed cherries and some good keycaps. If the board sounds hollow, you can either do a force break or give it some polyfill as they don't mute the overall switch sounds a lot like tape or foam does. Still keeps the clack intact

Sound is always debatable but if we're getting into the "luxury keyboard" area, the quality of case design and aesthetics are way better than a keychron at least personally

I respect your take, and thank you for saying "*my* cup of tea" and "*my* sound" cause you know how opinions be sometimes, people act like their opinion should be everyone elses. But I was intrigued by this comment -- most Taeha sound tests get loads of "omg my ears are being massaged from the heavens" kind of comments, whereas this video has a ton of "nice cup" "nice desk" comments - I wonder if a lot of people don't adore this sound? I think I hear what you're talking about - almost like it needs some force break possibly is what you're saying? Or do you literally mean the sound of the space underneath the PCB? (Sorry I'm not a keyboard veteran so I'm just getting clarity as I have tremendous curiosity for build makeup). Thanks!
