Wow, a live stream that went over the hour. You and Lucy seemed like friends who had cruises in common rather than talking about cruising as a topic. Even though it was the topic, I'm obviously loosing the plot. Anyway, as each and every time your live streams are just the best. My favorite hour of the week, and must see KZbinry.

I feel the no holidays bit. I work as a swim teacher and terms are generally 11-13 weeks long. My schedule has me off on Tues, Thurs, Sundays. I have no weekend as such, so terms feel like one humongous week. It’s hard. I couldn’t imagine doing long hours with zero days off for months on end. It’d kill me.

Hi Emma very interestig to hear both sides. I have never cruised but love your video's, During lockdown I watched the Cruise shipe dep Southampton on Solent Ships 'til ABP banned them, then found your channel and stayed with it. I go to Liverpool if covid allows, and there is a cruise ship berthed, best was a Disney Magic departure, kids as princesses fireworks etc. Keep up the good work. Congrats on your 100K

When I worked on Cruise ships, there was no Internet so you had to go to phone boxes to call family and friends. I used to call home about once a month.

The problem with free wifi vs paid for i would think would be making for a distracted crew! If net is limited they won't be texting on work hours.

Hi Emma. So I am watching this video late and I have a question for Lucy, i,m hoping you can ask her for me. QUESTION In the crew mess, who cooks? And if it's crew that cooks in a restaurant or the buffet are they still paid for the time they cook for the crew.

I lived in Miami I started my high tech careers back in 1985 working for Allders International who owned shops on Cunard, Carnival and others my job was computer and cash register support. Been on the first Mardi Gras the original ship carnival cruise lines for example as well as the QE2 for work. One question i have now with satellite internet the speeds can't be that fast now how is internet handled now?

Great friends but not compatible as room mates also goes for travelling companions. Been there, done that, lost the friend. There are some things you can’t fix no matter how well you communicate or prepare 😖

Emma, before you go to camera, please try fixing your hair the way you love it to look. Then, look into the mirror and tell yourself you are beautiful (True Story) ! Now go on camera and DO NOT touch your hair! An hour of watching you ‘fix’ your hair is extremely distracting to your excellent videos. (It’s called ‘self soothing’ apparently.) So maybe a piece of squeeze foam would help.
@EmmaCruises2 жыл бұрын
Hey Joy, I think it’s called gravity to be honest because I’m looking down to read the questions and my hair falls in my face. Don’t worry I’m shaving my head soon (for charity) then we won’t have this problem! 😉💕
@joyfullytriumphant2 жыл бұрын
@@EmmaCruises Oh NO! Your hair is beautiful. Just give a gift of 💷 and love ❤️. That will go a long way. And thank you for the reply. First time I’ve ever done that. I didn’t actually do a ‘hair touch count’, lol,,, but it was a lot. Your videos are great and I want the best for you and want you to succeed! Cheers, Joy.
