Cruise From Swift Rapids to Hydro Glen - Sit Back Sunday Boat Cruise

Got the GoPro camera positioned on the transom of our boat, Boogaboo, facing aft as we cruise along the lovely Severn River on Ontario, Canada's 240 mile long Trent Severn Waterway. This segment takes us through Lock #43 at Swift Rapids, eastward to a spot known as Hydro Glen.

You're welcome, but it's much nicer in person 😉 And watch out for strong current through there after rain events. I have another video from here, going in the opposite direction aboard our big 400 Sedan Bridge and there's actually white caps from the waves produced by that current!! Pretty awesome 👍👍

@@BoatingWithBoogaboo I'll check out the footage, beautiful area. It'd be a cool experience to boat the Severn River/Canal someday. I've never owned or driven a powered boat tbh😆 (only really been canoeing or kayaking), I was initially seeing what info I could find on the area. I have a hobby where I photograph bridges and I like to study maps quite a bit; earlier this year I checked out Severn Falls and Big Chute and more recently I was at Washago and Severn Bridge on this same waterway!

Was just through Swift Rapids and Big Chute a week ago Tuesday. You certainly had more traffic when you were there, we were the only boat both going up and down. Always love throwing your sitback Sunday vids on the monitor on the wall in my office during the week. I agree I like the bow view better but any water view is beautiful. Glad to see you and anchorgirl out enjoying the water, how about this September weather eh ;) keep up the great vids! Cheers :)

Just wondering if you run only one motor when motoring slowly. Also at 1000-1500rpm what is your approximate fuel burn rate. I have 454's in my Silverton and am guessing i burn about 4 gallons (US) over hour, per engine.

Hi James. I seriously have to do a video on my fuel economy, as it has to be the number one question I get on this #boat, as well as from the videos I have of our similarly powered last one, the Sea Ray 400 Sedan Bridge. Simple answer is this; When we need gas, I top off the thanks. Anything beyond that would just take the fun out of #boating ;-)
