Darci and Yvette I am happy with the new cord, it is much safer, the blue cord was also too long and the way it lay on the table forms a coil and a coil gives magnetic energy, so also heat and that is dangerous, never a place a long cord in loops on or next to each other. If an extension cord is used, always unwind it completely.

Good idea on the shorter heavier cord. You never want to coil up the extension cord and plug it in. You actually create an electrical coil which will generate heat.

Ya, 16ga would not be big enough for an AC. Also, you had it coiled, which I believe will cause even more heat. I'd also check the gauge of the supply wire to the socket behind the TV. You wouldn't want that overheating. For the starlink, a couple of small guide wires to either side should suffice. Excellent video, thanks for sharing....although a little light on coconut content! 🤣

Coiled wire will get hot under load, That's why a modern extension lead will tell you the maximum load when coiled and uncoiled. I'm not saying that cable Is adequate for the load, but most of the heat would have been generated from that coil.
@sailing.supernova4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the advice :-) we will not coil from now on :-)

👍👌👏 Yella woia (or is it yeller whya?). Anyway, I simply love 💚, love 💚, love 💚 how you speak respectively pronounce things. Don't ever let go this charming behaviour. 2) I'm not really interested in monohulls. I definitely wouldn't want all that aslant sailing and I cannot understand why anyone would want it. Nevertheless there are way more monohulls existing than comfortable and more spacey catamarans and trimarans. Best regards, luck and especially health to all 3 of you.
@sailing.supernova4 ай бұрын
I won't :-) We like Catamarans better to but its much easier to get out and travel on a mono hull :-)
@Chr.U.Cas16223 ай бұрын
@@sailing.supernova 👍👌👏That's good to hear! 😁 ;-) 2) Maybe easier to get in and out of a marina etc. but very limited space and by far not as comfortable as a catamaran. And monohulls have only one engine. If it fails there's usually no backup. 2) 😱 Don't you give hearts to comments you like any longer? It's not just me but all comments under this video. 3) Don't you use your messenger anymore? Thanks in advance for answering. Sincerely yours.
@leokaloper41323 ай бұрын
You gies learned a lesson. They're all monohulls and you being a catamaran could take a constant power generation from seawates using those rotors. If installed on the inner sides of the hulls, it would't interfere with fishing and the anchor.

I didn't see any kind of liner/buffer between the solar panel power lines and the hole you drilled to bring them into the helm station. I hope I just missed it, but if not.... If those lines get chaffed you will have a real fire hazard.

The reason your extension cable got hot is because it was coiled up. You should never use a lead coiled with 240v/120v or it will surely heat up and possibly burn. Always unroll the cables when using them. Cheers.

US Army Corp of Engineers was instrumental in the design and construction of the Panama 🇵🇦 Canal they were not oppressors of forcing anyone to build it for them….Kinda an ignorant comment to make considering how many Nations World Wide Depend on this passage!!!!
@sailing.supernova5 ай бұрын
We are not saying it wasn't a huge achievement in human history, But there was over 5000 recorded deaths on the project while the USA was in charge of construction, and many people lost arms and legs with nothing being given in terms of fair compensation, The Canal was built on the backs of contract workers with very few rights. again it was a huge achievement, but it came with a huge human cost.
