Fun relaxing day! So French of you to let the day unfold and let things happen. My family did the same in Cannes France and enjoyed just walking around and eating food and going in shops. Fun b roll and i like that you can get your whole family in with the camera on the stick. The dinner show sounds amazing! We love sitting close to the action! 👍

Ohhhh... that's the story of how you got the headband! Very cool... it looked great on your Instagram photo, but I was thinking it was more of a knit material... and the video seems like it has material in it to make it totally customizable. Love the one Jr helped you pick out! And oh yeah, I'm really starting to think about getting one of those Insta360 cameras! The footage with that camera really helps to see the full picture. Love it!

We sail out of Marseille in May of 2020. We plan to fly into Paris and spend a couple nights and then over to Marseille and spend one night and then get on the ship. Looking forward to it all and it has been fun following along on your adventures.

What a great day you guys had. As you've said, you don't need to do an excursion in every port in order to have a good time. I can't wait for my YC experience on MSC Seaside this November. Looking forward to Genoa and Rome.

I will be on the new MSC Seashore's first transatlantic crossing leaving Genoa Oct 31, 2021 on an 18 night "Grand Voyage" ending up in Maimi. Marseille is one of the ports of call and I have not been there before so enjoyed your experience. I showed my wife the hair thingy you got and she definitely wants one!

I just went there (HAL-Koningsdam). Even walking you must have passed the unbelievable big and beautiful church and the fort with amazing views of the bay entrance. Across the marina on top of the hill they have their cathedral with a 360 view of the complete city and surrounding coast. Can't believe you missed all that! I don't speak french but had no problem speaking English.

I can only afford one cruise to Europe, my bucket list, just not sure whether to do that route or one which includes mostly the Greek islands.....Any suggestions?....I'm a 65yr old widow planning on going solo....excited... not getting any younger, lol, so I better make up my mind....
@alex15325 жыл бұрын
I made over 10 cruises in the mediterranen with msc and I would say it depends on your personal expectations on the cruise the eastern routes wich contain mostly beautiful islands, nature, small villages and ancient ruins. The other routes are more focused on bigger citys like barcelona, rome and genova so its more a true city trip and not so much nature focused. So it really depends on what you want.

Gday from Australia we are new subscribers we particularly love your vlogs as you actually SHOW what your seeing which is a great help....we are doing this City in November 2020 re a back to back with MSC and Royal ending up in Miami.....two questions if I may, my wife Sue would like to know how much the headbands were and secondly how long is the shuttle from the port to the City....many thanks, all the very best.
@CruiseTipsTV4 жыл бұрын
GDay David! The headband was under $15 and the shuttle ride was pleasant- I don’t recall the exact time but I believe it was under 15 minutes. So glad you’re part of the cruise tips TV family. Please stay in touch and let us know how you enjoy your back to back cruises

@@CruiseTipsTV Sue replies many thanks - great pricing & hope it suits me as much as it did you :-) We luv to watch vlogs from other travellers from the other side of the world and after accidentally catching onto your vlogs you are one of our vlogers of choice. We luv the information you provide with all the video footage of what you are seeing rather than just your face with us guessing what you are viewing. Your family reminds us of our own in that you are open with your views & are not afraid to try something new. We also have a cruise next year from Japan which we have watched your vlog of same & has been extremely helpful in our choosing travel from airport to port... Keep up the great work & look forward to watching many more of your future vlogs :-) oi oi oi

I love that headband! I hope I can find something like that when we go on our Med trip. By the way, do you think it's customary to haggle for these types of items from street vendors in French ports? My friend who's been to Rome says never pay full price from street vendors, always pay less than half of what they want in Rome.
@CruiseTipsTV5 жыл бұрын
You likely will, but if not, we'll try to find a link to the website.

Not sure if this question has been answered in another video but how do you all work around your sons school schedule? Our oldest is approaching kinder and we typically like to travel in the off season so not looking forward to having to travel when all of the kids are off. Do you find it not to be an issue when pulling him out of school? Do you request the work ahead of time and have him work on it during the trip? I’d love to continue to travel during the off season we just thought it wouldn’t be possible anymore.

@@CruiseTipsTV Part of the reason why I found it so funny was because my husband and I are planning a trip to Paris in 2021. I told him we should stop in the McDonalds to see what they have on their menu and he said, "Yeah, we could have a medium wine and some McEscargot!"

I LOVE the headband! Question... do you use your credit card for purchases on a trip like this or do you get local currency? We have never been on a European cruise yet
@RockstarBruski5 жыл бұрын
On our Europe trip for the most part we used our credit card which had no foreign transaction fees. We did use local currency and Euros for smaller purchases like bottled water or snacks but we usually got that on the ship before going into the towns. Check with your credit card company to see if they charge foreign transaction fees.
