To my same bike Brother, Watching your ride here helps with my winter blues and cabin fever while my bike is in winter storage.. Even thou we don't have lane splitting here in Michigan, I do and get away with it where i can, even using the right shoulder or left one if there is one LOL!... Iv'e rode in traffic like this and way worse too many times with double the cars you show here then add the total stop and go crap for miles and miles, going and comming out of Detroit. And yes, It sucks bad!!. Sounds like the music from the movie Gladiator with Russell Crowe, Cool man, Love it!!.. Ride safe my Brother!!!!!

Really happy you enjoyed the video and I will be making more. I have had a few requests for them especially for those like you who put their motorcycles in winter storage. Opposed to just riding I added some music. I missed lane splitting in traffic when I was not in California. Since it is legal here you can tell cars for the most part, look for motorcycles and move over. But more in the lane I was in. That saiid, there is another portion that does not double check when lane changing so we need to be hyper aware. How is it in Michigan? Since drivers are not looking for it or that it is not legal they must get frustrated and at times close the gap between the cars. Stay safe out there brother (with the same bike)

@@CageFreeMoto yes It can get tough and rough here sometimes. People here drive like total A holes and at very high speeds, 85-90mph on 70 mph freeways. A lot of the time your forced to ride offensive instead of defensive like motorcyclists should!. I often think of it as riding in my old days of motocross/enduro racing and ride it like ya stole it or doing what ya have to do to get ahead of the next guy and get into 1st place. I'm blessed to live in a very rural area, but once in a while I have to journey into the city rat hole, and this is where I rely on my expert past experiences and riding skills. It's still no fun, and try avoid the bigger cities like the plague. That's why I love heading to northern Michigan, out of the lower 1/3 of the state. Nice roads way less population, beautiful scenery, the big lakes, forests and real fresh air!. Then further north crossing the Mighty Mackinaw bridge to the upper peninsula, what a great experience to do and see, some of the most gorgeous scenery in the world!. Then further up to sault st. Marie to see the big freighters at the soo locks!. If ya ever get this way or plan a trip to here, I would be honored to be your guide and ride.. Davey....

Nice video man, really enjoyed it! I love that we can split lanes legally here in California. Don't know why most other states don't allow it. It's safer for the motorcyclist, and goes, at least a little bit, towards relieving congestion. Oh, yes I did hear your exhale. People absolutely either do not pay attention or do not want anyone getting past them. Even with that, it is still safer, in my opinion, to split lanes than to be stuck behind a car, waiting for someone who is not paying attention to rear end you.

Totally agree! Get past the traffic and don't get rear-ended and just get out of there as soon as you can... sometimes it is never ending. When I was traveling and in traffic I wished I could split those lanes.

Buddy, I can exhale now! Think I held my breath the whole time… on camera it looks like you’re lane splitting at 45, 50 mph at times; had to keep glancing at your speedo to see what your actual speed was, 20, 25, 30 mph for the most part. Hey I’ve been out there, had to lane split at times you just can’t avoid it, but I don’t envy you out in that bro. Time to get you to Texas, Tennessee or Florida to live & ride! Lol. You might get that S&S 475 Cam and full header exhaust, from Khrome Works, the Eliminator dual exhaust Cycle Fanatix had on his Road Glide, to open up the sound, so they HEAR you more too…. Remember the patch: Loud Pipes Save Lives….. true statement.

Traffic is crazy which is why I work from home for the majority of the time. a 1 hour ride can turn into2 hours. I am looking at doing something for the exhaust just need some time ;)

I had to comment on this one too, Any idiot that thinks and even wears those stupid leather vest patches that say "Loud Pipes saves Lives" is an outright moron for several reasons!. Drivers can't hear you comming up from behind at almost any speed. Haven't you also found it to be true for yourself driving your car with bikes comming from behind, no matter how loud their pipes are? Ya only hear them as they pass or in front of you!. Now when your oncomming to other drivers off the freeway in town/city and they could make a left or right turn in front of you, they don't hear you either. Add summer time, they have their windows up and air conditioning on then add their car radio/tunes. They Ain't Hearing You!!!. And only then after you pass them!!. Hopefully they didn't pull out in front of you, and you hit them broadside and take the superman flight like i did!. Your exhaust noise only comes out and follows the rear of your bike and your moving forward. Especially if your at a good speed 55mph or higher like your ride here, No matter how loud your pipes are!.. Those people your passing are NOT Hearing You!!. The down sides... Excessive ringing in your ears with perminant ear damage for hours after a ride!. Especially like we ride (several hundred miles a day and or touring) Iv'e spent too many nights trying to sleep at home or in motels like you with that obnoxious ringing exhaust noise in my ears all night after a good ride or traveling!!!. I know bro. as i owned too many Harleys with fancy 2 into 1, Reinharts, Vance & Hines loud pipes. It's all BS!. It's maybe OK for the in round the town punks, making a bunch of unnessary noise thinking their cool and then what? Race from block to block, Red light to red light thinking they'er all that? Next cams, intakes, exhaust, fuel controllers, dyno tunes.. oh and better oil pumps on and on? At what, thousands on top of thousands of bucks? for what? Your not getting better mileage.. Then in the end, If ya really think ya need all that little extra HP, It just shortens your engine life and reliability!!. As if a stock 107 isn't enough power to begin with, which is more than plenty!!. Q.. How many Gold Wings do ya see with loud pipes and need all that engine crap????..

@crockett11000 Happy you said this,,,,I really didn't want to get on my soap box, but you are absolutely correct!!! I was a motorcycle safety instructor, a dealer and 56 years in a saddle (so far), we taught years ago "loud pipes" won't save your life. People can't heard it, it will ruin your hearing, normally your motorcycle will lose power not gain power, you can't hear your radio or ear buds and you get the extra benefit of pissing the public off. Save your money, leave your pipes stock.

@@crockett11000 Totally agree! 100% I am looking because of wanting a nice humble not because of a possible safety feature, nope. I have been startled with a loud motorcycle as they soon past me while they are lane splitting so I do not want to scare someone where they my turn my direction.
