☁ I think I am in the realm of taking pictures. I see a hobie 16 in your future. Thanks for the tour, never been to Rhode Island and I miss New England now.

Just found your channel the other day and subscribed. I also have a Pearson 26 (1977) and an O’Day Daysailer III (1988) based on Nantucket. My Pearson spends winters on the hard in Cataumet, MA (east end of Buzzard’s Bay) and every year I consider killing two birds with one stone by sailing to Newport for the Boat Show, then dropping it off for winter storage instead of sailing back to Nantucket. But I worry about solo sailing into a super-crowded and hectic anchorage. And there also still a good month of sailing left in the season!

We are living the sailing dream. The mooring field can look a little intimidating at first but the channel around it is plenty big. Just think of all the much larger yachts moored out. I was intimidated at first till I got there. Also the mooring guy is super helpful and will guide you through to your mooring ball… now there is a small anchorage and that can be iffy when boaters don’t put out enough anchor line and drift into other boats… I recommend the mooring.

Thank you. I’ve been busy working extra shifts at the hospital but finally going to get some free time for boat projects and more sailing

My 36’ Pacemaker SF was built in 1976, solid fiberglass, well built. Has original mahogany cabinetry and trimming. She is powered by twin crusaders 350s. I believe the previous owner bought her in 1979. I’ve owned her since 2016.
