I find that most DIY jobs are: start job, realise you are missing something you need, stop job. 😁 Think 13 feet is the bridge height above the water / air draught.

Hi Amy and Wes. I bet it’s so annoying when you take ages to moor your boat and then you find an ideal one further along. Nice little camera. Take care. Nick

Hi Amy, Wes, A lovely cruise today. Your DIY jobs at the start of the Volg made me smile. I think you did only 1/3😀. A non hectic time for you both on this Vlog. Loved the mooring up on the Thames which was fun, you would think they (River Thames Authority) would install mini bridges to mini pontoons, so that narrowboats can moor up safely without grounding. Great to see Rufus. Hope Dupes is OK. Have a lovely week. Take Care.

We were moored up in Abingdon at the same time as you, you can see our boat in your footage from the pub. Wish I had known at the time, we could have bought you a cup of tea. It's Proud Mary, the red widebeam. We next moored up behind you at Newbridge. Hopefully we'll see you again next summer. Good luck for the winter, Brenda and Richard

Wow those big houses, how the other half live 🙃 The bridge that was 13ft wide was referring to the width of the road above. I didn't realise cathedral City made a vegan cheese, I must check it out. I went to the vegan fayre at the Nec just to buy a nice cheese, they're was one cheese stall and they didn't have any nice cheese. Good luck with your new waters. 💚

You guys are hilarious! Just so that you know the lengths noted for bridges on waterways denotes the height from the surface of the water to the bottom of the bridge. Basically there is 13 ft clearance for a boat.

Silly canal boaters - 13ft in the Nicholson guide is for the guidance of large expensive cruisers and is the clearance (at normal stream heights) - so that they don't knock thet G and Ts off the cabin top. No worries for NB's though..

@@BoatTime if the faceplate of the thermostat can come off the name and possibly the model number might be on the back of the faceplate or on the thermostat it’s self. It could also be in the heat unit, or on the radiators.
