3 things 1. Watts roasting cinder was one of the best scenes ever 2. I remember seeing a funny comment where when the hound was revealed to be a silver eyed warrior someone put "the hound was just a man in a fursuit 3. Even though I know it's not imagine if the island ruby, weiss, blake, yang, neo and jaune landed on was one from animal crossing and tom nook is standing there trying to get all 6 of them to start a house payment

And these interactions in particular were the highlight of the volume in my opinion, both the good and the bad (Ren lashing out in frustration in the desert is another good one). I genuinely care about them as people.

RWBY thoughts: Let’s not trust the guy (Ironwood) who helped us at the fall of Beacon, gave Yang a new arm no questions asked, defended Weiss at the fundraiser, was more of a father tomWinter than Jaucque, and was willing to trust us with a magical relic but instead let’s immediately trust the woman who assisted in attacking an unprepared maiden as well as said fall of Beacon and has shown to have some deep connection with our main pain in the a$$ Cinder

It was more "Ironwood is a good man but has the tendency to overreact, just look at what he did to Mantle. Better wait to see if he can take the news before dropping the immortal bomb on him". It just wasn't explained well. As for Emerald, no argument. Her having a redemption could have been fine (though I would have prefered if she just stuck to get out of dodge), but as it is it's not earned.

Actual RWBY thoughts: Let's be extra cautious about Ironwood because he turned Atlas & Mantle into a Big Brother Police State before we even got here, and so far we are 2 for 4 on Headmasters who turned out to be untrustworthy (Lionheart & Ozpin). Also, has anyone noticed that Ironwood only trusts people he has control over, and he went behind Ozpins back during the Vytal Festival after bringing an army without anyone's permission to our version of the Olympics?

I think the problem was they didn't specify. Vale is both the kingdom and city's name therefore logically the same could be true for all of them meaning it sent them to the kingdom but, not the city.

Can't tell if wonderland was sarcastic or not, but I honestly think it might be straight. We still don't know Neo's (girl with mirror semblance) backstory, and Oscar-pin kept talking about "The girl that fell through the world" throughout the volume. And if there's one thing we know about legends in the world of Remnant, they're usually true and almost always trying to kill you.

I watched Mushoku Tensei with my sister. I watched the scene with the maid being naked and the husband seeing her. And you know what: I naively believed he just saw her naked and took advantage of it. But you know what my sister told me? She told me that the maid let the door open and let him see her naked on PURPOSE. Because this is what jealous women did! And it made so much sense with what information was given to us prior (the maid feeling guilty about it, telling the family that she seduced him because she was jealous of the wild *** the parents were having) that it HAD to be true. And you expect me to believe that you DIDN'T just pull the same stunt, but with swords, given how vindictive you are and how you like to manipulate people?

Team JYR did nothing meaningful after ecacuating one group of Mantlese to the crater. Saving Oscar? Didn't need them. Turning Hazel and Emerald? Weren't involved. Destroting the Whale and killing Salem for a while? They already had left. And they didn't bother to grab the Lamp on their way back, which screwed the latter plan. None of the heroes mattered during Salem's invasion of Atlas. They were either sitting down doing nothing or running in circles doing nothing.
