Good job in my opinion. I liked it. Script, cuts and characters are rather smartly made. The choice of CG is what it is but it makes sense for the franchise, it's fine with me and the ambiance is there. To me it works artistically. 👍

Very different vibe from Blade Runner... so could be disappointing to a large amount of fans. BUT the overall end result here, regardless of it's affiliation with Blade Runner, is awesome. Great music, story, characters, execution. Just hope peoples expectations aren't too rigid. This is a good show.

The lip sync looks off if you're watching the English version. The animation was created to reflect the original Japanese dialogue. As for the animation looking "funny," I guess I would have preferred 2D animation myself, but I've made an exception with this series. The Japanese version is much better imho.

As a show I didn't think it was all that bad, but as a Blade Runner show it just felt kind of flat. When you watch/read something in the BR world you can really tell it's that particular universe. Black Lotus just kind of feels like it can fit in any cyberpunk or anime space and be fine. Not to take anything away from it, but it just didn't feel like Blade Runner.

I have no idea what Blade Runner was I’ve never heard of it until I was on HBO max and I saw the poster of it and I watched the end of the episode 13 skipped to a fight scene in school I started screaming because of how good the Freaking action was I paused it and did a whole marathon on it. IT WAS AWESOME! 10/10 on the fight scenes

Watched the whole series... ok... had A LOT of potential with the style but sadly just fell short of being interesting. Once again - some artists who saw a movie but really know nothing about the cyberpunk culture from Neuromancer et al and just commissioned some predictable story to have a reason for doing some animation. Nice eye candy but the story and characters are pretty flat. Compare that to the story/characters in Vox Machina - no contest.

This is an embarrassment in all level. Such a low quality writing and editing... The cg looks awful too. Clashing styles, and low effort animation. Sorry for the negativity, but this is looking like a cash grab attempt. With the cutesy colorful girl, with the cheesy action scenes. The carbon copy images from the 1982 movie is also leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The blade runner "universe" is not needed this type of expansion.

Not surprised that it is contemporary violence and action, nowhere near the feeling that existed and was the idea when the book was written or the first movie was made. "They" lost the melancholic, slow, beautiful, dystopian context and made an animated action for the masses. Not even the music is suitable. Boring!
