What I've learned from this conversation: Sword Hero's played every Dragon Quest game (main series at least). Spear Hero loves Kingdom Hearts 3 to death, Bow Hero's a Tales of Series fan, And the Shield Hero's been playing Fallout meets Dark Souls without respawn for the first time.

Funny, that. Dragon Quest XI had the plot of you being accused of crimes you didn't commit that turned the world against you right out the gate, just like Naofumi. Sora would be the one most advocating of teamwork and cooperation (and I don't think he'd be nearly as gullible as Speary, to be honest) And the Tales series... WEll, I'm pretty sure even Abyss' cast would be a better set of team players than them. Hell, Beseria, the most recent game, ALSO HAD THE PROTAGONIST DEMONIZED BY A PERSON WHO PEOPLE BELIEVED WAS GOOD AND EVERYONE BOUGHT IT HOOK, LINE, AND SINKER.

Sora might not be the smartest protagonist, but he's a goofball that gets things done and cares about his friends while driving them to help him. He's helped so many characters overcome their problems through all the games despite being some innocent kid who lived on an island for most of his life. The Spear Hero's just some dumb asshole that got suckered in by some lying thot and can't own up to his own mistakes.

But yeah, you'd think that all three of them, who've played games encouraging party members to be team players, would be more understanding of their flaws. @@okaten3522 It's more than that. These games, as I've shonw, have examples of people being accused of horrible crimes they've never done and suffering for them. Kingdom Hearts is the only exception out of the three and even then, it shows a lot of people redeeming themselves after falling to evil (especially in the case of Riku). These people should, at the very least, try to treat him with some amount of courtesy given what he's gone through. The Luminary would ook at them with dissapointment and more than a little disgust Sora would probably be brought low for a bit over their sheer stubborness and unwillingness to work together. Velvet... I haven't played Beseria so take my words with a grain of salt but I think that, at least, she'd be disgusted with how these three are acting and chewing them out. At absolute worst... she might destroy part of the castle giving them a brutal reality check. And everyone would cheer.

You missed out on the most important part here. All 3 of them don't even have the other's system. Except for the bow there is no weapon rarity yet. Same with upgrade skills or raw stats. Since it's based on the MMO's they know it's only what they know. Naofumi eventually figures out how to put in all 3 systems with his own system.

For anyone who's wondering how the 3 Stooges can still treat everything like a game and not take it seriously, I think this scene gives a bit of an answer for that. While Naofumi has been doing everything by hand, the other 3 have been using stuff like auto-crafting and fast-travel, things that are staples of most RPGs. They see the world as a game because their weapons let them PLAY IT AS A GAME.

One of the themes that I love in this series is how Noafumi's unfortunate and unjustified circumstances actually made him stronger, because it forced him to do things the hard way.

I don't know who I feel bad for more: 1) Naofumi, who just got cleared of a dozen false charges and is clearly the victim of months worth of non-stop sabotage AND STILL is being treated like a leper by these morons. He is the only one with any right to tell someone at the table to go screw themselves (which he kinda does at the end), but he tries to be keep his promise and play nice. 2) Melty and the Queen, who are making it perfectly clear how important it is that the 4 Heroes work together and are seeing the hopes they've had to pin on them quickly fall flat.

To make matters worst, that likely resulted in the other countries summoning other heroes of their own with one of them being protected by Glass. Who knows what the other countries have for heroes sent from another world?

That's the reason why the Queen had to spend months putting out fires; her husband screwed over entire nations by allowing the summoning of all 4 to one countries. - And Glass wasn't summoned. She came through the Waves themselves ( I think ).

Weapon rarity detmines the cap of it's stats, stats determine the weapon's performance, and proficiency usually adds stat boosts or unlocks hidden skills. They're all using one leg if the tripod and they wonder why Naofumi is stronger than all of them combined.

The Sword hero has never really seemed that bad just trying too hard to be cool. The Spear hero I don't believe is actually a bad person. It feels like he had this black and white idea of what a hero is supposed to be and from the jump he stuck to that to a frustrating degree (ie) automatically believing and protecting the damsel in distress. Anyone else notice that the four heroe's armor colors bear semblance to Hogwart's four houses, and they each represent the worse qualities of said house Motoyasu is red for Gryffindor. Comes off as brave and chivalrous, but is shown to be arrogant, stubborn, idiotic, and likes to flaunt Ren is blue for Ravenclaw. While he was irresponsible on account of the dragon incident, he is shown to be capable of using his head as he deduced the Three Churches corruption. He is a lone wolf just like most Itsuki would be yellow for Hufflepuff. Ironically, while he claims to fight for honor, justice, and fair play, he is merely trying to fuel his own ego Naofumi is green for Slytherin. While he is not inherently "evil" as most, he is capable of using his cunning to get what he wants, whether it's through coercion or backhanded methods

It's a matter of world view, each weapon creates the systems that you need or believe exists. For example the weapon copy system was only unlocked after Naofumi decided to trust the other heroes with that piece of info. It may look like Naofumi is struggling to reach an accord with the heroes but he's making some real headway in the fact that he believed in them like that.

The other three heroes have experience with games and also not to mention received immense support from the kingdom the whole time and even go to level up faster too‚ while Naofumi earned everything legitimately through hard work and difficult battles.

Besides the three stooges freaking out for not agreeing with their explanations, what impresses me a lot in this scene is how STRONG Raphtalia is to deal with several people at once trying to attack her and NONE of them didn't even make a scratch on her, even more that knight that's so full of himself.

The fight in the whole castle was a suprise and I genuinely enjoyed watching Raphtalia stand up for once. The conversation wasn't that much of a suprise, I thought they could explain to him even a bit how to progress in this so-called game, but no they didn't. As for the actual weapons, weapon rarity in games is measured by it's stats or potential stats, which means that the Spear and the Bow hero are kinda right, Ren is just an idiot, but then again they all are.

Actually that's not true, in many video games (such as the Golden Sun series and some FF games), your weapon becomes stronger the more often the character uses it, since they unlock skills that are unique to that weapon. It's much much rarer than for the other two cases, but it does happen.

But in the end doing everything by hand helped Naofumi be the strongest. Like an RPG where you can learn a Skill by "Reading a Book" (or a Spell by breaking a Crystal Ball like in the show), but if you learn it from the basics you will end up with "+1s, 2x, X, Y, Z" bonuses that could only be gotten by Mastering everything required. Like how he is able to raise Raphtalia and Filo to be stronger than the other Heroes, because of several Mastered shields that boost them. While the other three are like the average RPG player that once a better weapon shows up they toss the old one away without mastering its skill so it permanently remains active even when not equipped.

So what I got from each of them is this, I shall put it in list format to better understand the different concepts they have that I have seen in MMORPGS. Motoyasu: Equipment scanning/ ability copying from equipment of the same kind. By picking up and scanning said weapons, you can get info about them such as their stats, abilities, and rarity. By doing that, you can get certain buffs and stats increase to your own equipment and even increasing the rarity of all your weapons. Ren: His is basically autocrafting, no need to explain any further. Itsuki: It's basically Quick Travel. You unlock different areas into your world map and then you can just select that designated area to get to places easier. It's a total thing in Xenoblade Chronicles series. All of these are concepts I knew about and worked with in the MMORPG I used to play, it actually took me a bit to figure out how to work those things though since I'm not exactly bright when it comes to new games. I honestly wanted to know what Naofumi was gonna say about what he learned but darn it. Also if I may be so bold, I believe equipment rarity, potency/proficiency, and refinement/ stats are all necessary to becoming stronger. I also learned that from the MMORPG I used to play btw.

Because while the others treated that world as a videogame due to the fact that their weapons could make everything automatically, Naofumi saw the consequences of everything the three stooges did and left behind almost "obliging" him to fix their mess and that lead him to see that world as if real life and not just some sort of a game and so he learned things the hard way, not abusing the capabilities of his shield.

Can we talk about how much easier naofumi's life would have been if he had all this stuff in the beginning? The dude's basically been carrying boulders on his back not knowing that there were free wheelbarrows nearby. With just the item crafting ability alone he would've saved a shit ton of time and effort making medicine for himself and raphtalia. He could produce them at a faster rate and spend that time either farming for more materials or doing literally anything else that was important like farming xp or even sleep. He could have even sold the extra materials for cash since he was pretty tight on funds when starting out. With the weapon copy system he could have had a shit ton of useful shields that would have been a massive help during the first wave and all the other shit that went down before and after that and Lord knows things would've gone way smoother if he had that teleportation shit. I'm surprised naofumi wasn't more pissed off because I would've been suppressing the urge to beat them all senseless. I know it's not really their fault but being out of the loop like that can be unbelievably frustrating

Technically all of them are right about what you should look for in a weapon. A weapon is typically stronger depending on *rarity,* due to having *stronger stats* and you can make a weapon stronger by *refining* it which would cause a weapon to be more *proficient* and therefore better.

Honestly though, all three sounded like they made sense. Itsuki's talk of weapon rarity isn't that far off. After all a legendary sword will be more powerful than any broadsword, but legendary swords are a rare find. Ren spoke of stats and proficiency with said weapon. Also makes sense, considering there are definitely games out there where having high strength or dexterity stats will give your weapon of choice a power boost (e.g. dark souls). Motoyasu said that refining a weapon makes it better. That's definitely true. High quality means a better weapon all day. But don't let that distract you from the fact that they are a bunch of tools..

Sometimes I wish if the 3 Heroes actually fought it out instead of arguing, they'd probably solve their problems better. Though you gotta admit, this is the first time that Naofumi was actually impressed by them. Having to get a cart when you could teleport, feeding material just to get new shields, and having to gain new materials all by hand by defeating monsters. He knew he got the short end of the stick real bad this time.

I think clearly the reason why noufumi is so strong is the fact he's on nightmare mode on dark souls all the time, while all the others are on easy mode on let's say skyrim all the time. My point being if a gamer who maxed out on easy mode was to go against a gamer who plays on nightmare mode in a game who has less levels the person on nightmare mode gonna be far more the power then the person on easy mode hand down

Apperantly, their help screens change according to what they believe. Naofumi had no access to that copy ability nor gave a shit about it, but once he started pondering about it and actually believed it just a little, the goddamn thing actually unlocked. So I'm surethere's a ton more things that not only Naofumi but the others can do as well, it's just that the Three Cardinal Stooges have a too narrow view on how things work that they don't learn anything better.

My theory for why Naofumi is stronger, aside from practising rather than using a quick help guide, is that he is already using at least two of their suggestions. He is already gaining proficiency by practising with the shields so that he has access to their abilities and stat boosts without having to equip the shield. His most used, and therefore probably best, are the viper and soul eater shields, which he got from boss drops. so you could assume that these are rare/unique shields. The only one im not sure on is Motoyasu's refining and stat boosting
