There is one random thing that i noticed - Tsunade is a BRILLIANT manager. Her tenure as Hokage sees 3 massive catastrophes (Orochimaru revenge, Pain attack and the 4th Great Shinobi War) as well as many minor ones, yet she manages to keep the Hidden Leaf economy and infrastructures one of the most if not the MOST prosperous through all of them. She gave Naruto the treatment he deserves, improves the village until Kakashi takes charge, and the best yet, she did not spiral into uncontrollable sadness even after Jiraiya's fall, maintaining her professionalism as Hokage. Kudos to Hashirama & Tobirama for teaching Tsunade about money management (and gambling, sadly), she is making them proud for sure.

It's sad because Kishimoto was planning to have her fight off Pain for a bit until Naruto showed up, But Shonen Jump and his editors told him it would be better to cut to Naruto arriving. Would have been a great fight to see.

Tsuande explaining the 4 rules of medical ninjutsu in this entire scene is literally the reason as to why Sakura doesn’t attack any enemies head on throughout the Naruto and Naruto Shippuden but some of the people who attack her by saying she’s “useless” won’t even acknowledge this scene at all for Sakura.

Are we just going to ignore the fact that Mei alone countered Madara's fire technique with a large volume of water followed immediately by a water dragon for which she needed 1 sign, and this feat alone took entire 4th unit's water style users to stop and even someone like Tobirama needed 6 signs to do a water dragon, while Kakashi needed 44.

I don't know man. Water dragon justu is one of the most inconsistent jutus in terms of hand signs. Also, i don't think the animators wanted to animator here doing hand signs for 20 seconds. Also, Kakashi needed as many hands signs to fireball technique. I don't think hand signs is an indication of anything in this series

Whether it's medical ninjutsu or simply strength, Prime Tsunade should be better than Sakura. As we saw in the War Arc, she instantly restored Shikamaru and saved his life, thing that Sakura couldn't do despite having the Kyuubi Chakra from Naruto.

Medical ninja use their hands to heal and should never carry heavy weight of anything more then medicine and first Aid. They are essentially chakra enhanced doctors . The fact alone that she turns the same hands she heals with into a way of fighting is a huge feat. I also read somewhere the nature of a medical ninjas chakra changes so they aren’t suited to using harmful ninjutsu despite being able to. Think of it this way. If you are creating liquid that’s white. You aren’t going to be using red and blue hues or colors. Because after you have used either once it will be changed and nearly impossible to ever get that white hue color again. A medical ninjas chakra is the same way. The chakra is soothed into a great hue that heals, if you use volatile ninjutsu and chakra techniques it changes the nature of your chakra with each use and makes it harder to be the best medical ninja you could be

Tsunade just explained and slapped all the faces of people who says Sakura is useless. Coz this actually explained everything about her not being in frontline and just healing. And what's more impressive if you think about it is. She actually broke rules even before achieving byakugou. He fought Sasori head on. She became the fronline while Chiyo was acting as support only. She did that while still budgeting her chakra during the fight. She had a little chakra allowed to use during that battle but deym she fought sasori really well. Imagine that, sasori is long range with a huge area of effectiveness with his skills. But Chiyo and Sakura survived. Again, this is Sakura without Byakugou, and while budgeting her chakra. Already breaking the rules.

Sometimes, it is satisfying to watch the heroes being defeated. In most shows, the heroes have confidence that they will win because they fight for justice, for hope or because they know that others are counting on them. While inspiring, it annoys me whenever they win simply due to this. So, yeah, Madara showing them that they never had any chance of defeating him was nigh cathartic to me.

@LISBOAH For me it's the other way around. It's pretty obvious Madara's gonna dominate; he was set up to be the big baddie of Naruto, there's no way he's gonna lose to some scrubs. It would've been more satisfying if the Kages gave Madara trouble. That would show that levels of strength actually matter in Naruto instead of certain individuals being privileged power-wise. But of course the algorithm of Naruto _& Sasuke_ Shippuden is that unless you're related to Naruto or Sasuke and not a female, you don't matter.

this was one of those scenes that made the hair on the back of you're arms and neck stand up , this scene always gives me chills. aside from literally being one of tsunades biggest fan for so many reasons , she is what I as a women aspire to be like , she never let a man tell her she wasn't good enough or good enough to stand next to or above them. she showed us women that you can have anything you want if you're willing to fight for it. she don't take no disrespect from no-one but yet has the biggest heart , those are the best qualities and something I follow everyday of my life.

Fr !! Right after she broke his susannoo With a kick she send him across the field through those giant tree roots into a mountain leaving a huge print in the mountain from the impact and then she gets stabbed by him but break the blade and stabs it through his susanno and gets blasted into a mountain but gets back up later on she’s stabbed through 3 times but takes down three human susannoos clones with a full punch and she powers onoki particle style to erase all the clones then she deflects madara fire style with her arms. And last she got split in half but survived easily and healed the five kage at the same time while they were on the brink of death from one stab wound

@@DrawsbyDonnie i’m glad i have met someone with intelligent analysis instead of people who ignore people like tsunade. just because they aren’t the strongest doesn’t mean they deserve to be constantly disrespected and downplayed. i personally think tsunade and sakura would be two good counters to fight the otsutsuki. they have the 100 healings with makes them immortal + gives them strength. they also both have the lady katsuya summon which can attack with spitting acid/also heal the user and anyone else they need per say lady katsuya would be able to heal naruto and sasuke while tsunade/sakura provide backup support through taijutsu. tsunade and sakura both know multiple elemental releases but they chose not use them because there battles don’t really require them to.

Facts also tsunade/sakura they both use the nervous system disruption jutsu which it’s only weakness is just someone being intelligent enough to know how to reprogram their bodies in a short span of time only kabuto had that intelligence at the time but yess tsunade and sakura paper could definitely be a problem for the ostusuki especially even a punch from sakura made kaguya horn break and dealt damage to her since ostusuki clan doesn’t have a counter to taijutsu users just like the pain arc tsunade and Sakura were nerfed tsunade got all her chakra tooken up to save the villagers and Sakura didn’t have the seal she couldn’t break medic law also team guy was away from the village it was stated that the pains weakness were also physical attacks so it’s kinda crazy that the best taijutsu fighters were nerfed but then in the arc with madara we see their full power but just madara gets stronger and stronger

@Berserk I'd actually argue she'd have a fair shot against Edo Oro as well, since his Edos were quite frail/half assed in terms of feats and her strength is off the charts. Also, there are several seals, etc. that only the Sannin know (Jiraiya references this in part 1) so it's not beyond the realm of possibility that she would have seals as well. Additionally, worth noting that despite Orochimaru's vast knowledge of jutsus in part 1, he had no idea she intended to attack him before Kabuto intervened, and he also had no idea what Sozo Saise was despite being her former teammate - which indicates she'd make up some jutsus on her own too. Also your Pain invasion arc comment is true. The chapter "As Hokage" was changed last minute to "Conversation". Kishi initially wanted her to take down 4-5 paths and have Naruto deal with the rest but abruptly shelfed the idea. Furthermore people often overlook the fact that she quit being a ninja after the second war, and randomly fought Kabuto after decades of not training at all, and he still had to first tire her out, which tired him out as well > use a soldier pill > then engage a tired Tsunade and she still managed to go on even footing with him. He also ultimately had to use her fear of blood to overpower her despite all his preparation. She has other feats of speed that are overlooked too, she stopped Manda as he was charging Gamabunta while holding Gamabunta's sword, and she also body blocked to save Naruto faster than Orochimaru could slash him.

@Berserk She's also shown forming a hand sign/seal against Madara's perfect Susano approaching to finish them when Raikage said he didn't wanna give up, but we never saw what she was going to do because the Edo Tensei got released and the Susano dispersed. It wasn't a sign that's used for summoning. She's actually shown the ability to summon Katsuyu without even forming those signs (after Madara bisected her)

During the pain arc Sakura couldn’t fight on the frontlines since she didn’t have the seal and she couldn’t break the medic rules tsunade gave all her chakra away to the village to save everyone she was tapped out in a coma during the war tsunade enters hundred healings mode but since it’s edo madara. He was given so many amps by kabuto and given hashirama power an and infinite body and chakra tsunade full power wasn’t enough then Sakura enter hundred healings mode she tanks a stab from jubbi madara but because of limbo the invisible wall was too powerful since madara had reached the peak of his power pain arc the best taijutsu fighters were nerfed and war arc they weren’t but they just werent powerful enough to stop madara

Why I love Tsunade? Because it's a proof that if the author tried harder, he could have created so many well writen female characters!! I love anime which have powerful women.. I know, right? I watched Naruto for the first time last year and couldn't get over the fact that ALL women were shown as either weak or idiots. Thank goodness Tsunade showed up and gave me more reason to keep watching. And Sakura got better too as a person, even if she wasn't as powerful as the guys. I'm also glad she decided to be a medic ninja like Tsunade instead of insisting to fight even though she clearly wasn't good at fighting (things obviously changed later).
