I absolutely love how Lugh thought he brain washed her when it's just come out that she knew he was using her for her mana as a tool the entire time but she didn't care because in her eyes Lugh saved her life, and gave her the world really, though her love for Lugh isn't mutual she's willing to go so far so that he can save the woman he loves. I really feel for her though how she broke down when he left.

This episode was good and this particular sequence was actually pretty good on an animation perceptive. But there are things that really bugged me. First, is the CGI during the last bit of the episode which was really jarring and stiff. I could tell that the studio was tight on budget but when I compare this to Jahy and Deep Insanity, they have better animation than this which really bugs me. Second is Tarte herself. I don’t like how she KNEW she was being treated a like a tool and instantly accepted it. I get that Lugh “gave her a purpose in life” but that “purpose” is very strange. She literally reminds of Setsuna with the “I had a bad life until a man saved me. No matter how he treats me, I will serve him as a tool forever”

Also, it hinted to her many times throughout these years already. And last, this is a medieval period, it is not that rare that people accept their fate. I thought about this, but when I watched it I remembered that Haku from Naruto was written exactly the same way, yet I don't remember anybody making a sound. As far as I remember, everyone described the Land Waves arc as being powerful and heartfelt storytelling. When taken in by Zabuza, Haku understood that it wasn't because the former was so kind and caring, but because Haku had the potential to be an incredibly useful tool. He understood that he could be discarded if Zabuza deemed it necessary, yet he accepted wholeheartedly because he felt valued and appreciated in some capacity, which is the opposite of how he was made to feel before then.

Mixed feelings on this protagonist. He’s a hypocrite for using people as tools while wanting to never become one himself. i actually liked his approach. it might be very calculating and not pure, but his approach is basically to do the good and right things for people to make them want to be used as tools by him, and although they are technically tools at his disposal, he doesn't really see most of them just as tools and they either don't see themselves as tools or they see themselves as willing tools, so really i would say his morals and way of doing thing might not be completely innocent and pure they are better than "grey morals".

1. Her legs were quivering due to sheer exhaustion. She was sprinting for as long as she could. If you push your muscles beyond youe limits then muscle spasms and cramps are quite common. It just shows how hard she was pushing herself 2. She was crying because she also loves Lugh as we know. Seeing him running away chasing his love for Dia was heartbreaking for her. She pretty much at that moment accepted that Lugh doesn`t love her but Dia and that she can`t have him.

i never liked the concept of Harem in Anime but it's not like Anime invented it, it's taken from real life, mostly from the past but even today in some societies. honestly, it's almost a Lose-Lose situation, either a harem is formed which always seems morally wrong to go about it, or the MC choose 1 girl and then all the other girls are heart broken and as a reader, you might be very disappointed since the MC didn't pick the girl you liked most.
