I really like MK II, but as Son of Nocturne my true love is MK III. It's hard to explain, but there's just something about a bunch of Salamanders in MK III welding flamers and Thunder Hammers showing up just in time to save innocent civilians from some Dark Eldar just creates an ideal mental image

For now, you may have to make do with the Heresy plastic vehicle kits, as those come with the torsos, heads and arms of MK2 marines, likely kitbashing it with MKIII to make proper MKII stuff... Hopefully a kit shall eventually come around.

In the oldest lore, the mkII helmets were fixed in place - bolted on to the chest battleplate. It was only later marks of armour that had helmets able to move with the wearer's head.

Excellent story keep the good work up. A part of me wish the the writers return back to the unification war even if it is for a short series. As the breif mention of it in the Horus Heresy series and people who who alive in 30k Horus Heresy that talk about Terra. It would be a interesting series if to read for how creative GW writers can be for this era . MK 1 and MK 2 they are definetly unique for models . As they like MK 3 hold important place for how iconic they are for just being unique compare to the primaris armor as visual appealing it may be in 40k .
