I play the King's Gambit in 8/10 games. I have actually studied the Falkbeer and I am very comfortable playing against it. The vast majority of players accept it, though.

Yeah. . . and as white, I'm outside of what's presented here after move 4, sitting at a +0.7. 90 percent of the people here would still beat me, because I'd blunder something eventually! :D But it wouldn't be against anything shown here. Great video though!

He can simply play knightf3 on move 3. If you take the pawn on f4 he take your pawn on d5. If you take the pawn on e4 he take your pawn on e5 with the knight.

Hi from Italy. Just as you ask it, Ernst Falkbeer was austrian but born in Brno. I repeat: "born in Brno", it's not a joke. So in "Falk-" the A is promounced like in America. In "-beer" the double E is like in the french-style word "née"=maiden name. EDIT: 8:15 I like a lot the way you say "it's over! It's finished!" It gives the real sensation of a lost game.

4:40 I'm 700-800 rates on blitz & rapid and I found the rook the move! It just a pure guess though:D I have no idea on the continuation though. I think I have a pretty good chess potential ceiling, because I find alot of these gm sac moves chess KZbinr's make the watcher's try to find. Usually I find the continuation too. Of course it's different in actual games than in games you're spectating or puzzles, but I sometimes find pretty good moves in games too. (I have get some brilliants semi regulalrly.) Edit: It could be capture with the bishop too! I didn't even realize the bishop could capture, but that's of course the worse move for white:D Also at 4:51 you say "What if rook takes?" when you meant "What if queen takes?".

Nice video, I like the Falkbeer. Some authors recommend after 3. exd5 e5xf4 instead of e4. Both moves are equally good, it is a question of taste.

I get it: if black plays the best moves and white plays the weakest moves black wins . Who could have known …

I love countergambits sometimes because of the plethora of various pitfalls players walk into. Another thing I keep noticing is how often players waste early game tempi going for greed and end up lagging woefully behind in development, it's small wonder how checkmates and resignations in single digit numbers of moves occur.
