I agree, but Elias is one of the few I would take a course to listen to. He is one of the best MTT tourney players out there that started from small buy ins

how long have you been playing before getting your first final table? How'd you learn exactly how to go through a mtt tournament? hard to find a start to finish guide/tutorial lol
@spec4045 ай бұрын
@@FenrirFinance I actually won my first MTT tournament after about 2 months of playing. It was only a 200-person field but still impressive. I learned mainly from trial and error as well as studying the game through coaching classes and videos on KZbin lol. For the most part, I have had a very unlucky career. I would say I have missed out on life-changing money about four times now from bad beats. Still haven't won a tournament in about 6 months of playing daily so it's been pretty bad. With that said I still study everyday

@@spec404 Wow that's awesome, congrats!! I'll keep at it as well. I entered an in person event and got right outside of the money bubble, which wasn't bad for my first event but seeing these pro players consistently cash makes me wonder what the missing piece is!
@spec4045 ай бұрын
@@FenrirFinance if you know what you are doing than in May just be volume and variance. The amount of luck involved tournament to tournament heavily outweighs skill. In the long run everything comes down to skill.

MTTs are miles easier than cash games in the current state of poker. The amount of mistakes and overplays people make especially deep stacked is insane.

How do these concepts scale down to a weekly freezeout with say 20-30ish players max, paying out 4 or 5?

@mbradycf Жыл бұрын
@@Dynamice1337 I guarantee it will (and you can have your money back if it doesn't). The course is super digestible and actually fun to watch at times, and there's amazing nuggets of wisdom peppered throughout the entire thing.
@you3bi4b Жыл бұрын
It's it for live tournaments only? Or for online MTTs as well? Or applicable to both?
@mbradycf Жыл бұрын
@@you3bi4b both. They actually review an online final table in which Darren won with lots of tough players. And Nick's ICM videos will be great for technical online players.
