Putting your jig molds in the microwave, really helps to warm everything up at once. Your mold, your microwave and even your garage with smoke and flames. Really gets you cozy and ready to bang out a lot of jigs.

Just a tip that I do, use a candle to “soot” your molds, it helps the lead flow into your jigs molds so much better. You get a lot less miss pours.

I'm not much of a bass guy more of a walleye guy, my second year going for bass, I like your videos I learn so much from you about bass fishing! My best spot in kenora is tunnel island from the shore, come try it out sometime, that'd be awesome to meet you, I think your best angler I know!!!!

One way I learned to paint my jigs is to put all your jigs in the oven, get them all preheated for quicker painting. Saw a local manufacturer doing this at a big show. I turn mine to 400 just because the door gets opened more often. Grab each one to dip, let them all cool. Put them back in for the hardening bake. Took me less than an hour total to paint 30 jigs for the St Clair River.

So not to nit pick but I have a jig making business and you say there is a cost saving but there really isn't, initial cost is high and the molds, melter, bulk paint etc eat the savings till the 4000 plus jig mark.. it the customizable part is spot on.. couple tips. Use a heat gun instead of candles, it's hotter, faster and cleaner heat (allows the paint to adhere better). Screw the pot down to the table (more secure and less chance of spill). Put a block of wood under the spout of the pot so you aren't holding the weight of the lead/mold (more accurate and safer).
