Hello Dan, great teamwork getting it done👍🇺🇸

This looks like the most enjoyable way to make firewood I’ve ever seen. Better than a processor in my opinion. Some variety, all ergonomic, and some friends.

Couldn't agree more...was a nice easy pace and yet still highly productive at the end of the day.

Great video. Rick has a fantastic set up. The bucking station is a chain saver, back saver. Orange and blue rocked.
@Back40FirewoodАй бұрын
The bucking station and the loader make a huge difference...cuts it down to pretty much just a two man operation. And neither of us are ever really waiting on the other.

Nice Going Dan in taking it to Rick's Woodyard for him to Use. Team Work always Helps. 8Totes Filled up and Looking Good. That is Some Nice Looking Oak my Friend. Keep up You Great Video's my Friend, and I am Returning to my Woodyard on Tuesday, a Day Earlier. Cardiologist says now that I can do it every day for no more than 2hours and Rest when Needed. My Physical Condition is what has been in my Favor. Stay Safe out There. Ron

Good to hear you're ready for the woodyard, just don't over do it...get a little done and save a little for later. 😀👍

That is one heck of a splitter - Rick must love having a friend with a 37D to call when the major splitting occurs. Maybe he needs to get one of his own.
@budcanter9747Ай бұрын
Nice that you helped out Rick, he needs to slip you a few logs to repay you!👍👍🇺🇸
@Back40FirewoodАй бұрын
I think I may still owe him for all he's brought to my woodyard over the years...lol

Hi Dan WOW it Was Rick's Tree Service Yard Now that Makes Sense just look at All Those Logs ‼️ of Firewood The Easton Made 37 D is going right Threw it ‼️
@tonywoods3197Ай бұрын
Great Video Dan of Showing how Much Firewood Splits you could Make with the Easton Made 37 D At Rick's Wood Yard 👍 QQQ Dan Washington it Faster to Split the firewood Because The Pieces are Bigger
@Back40FirewoodАй бұрын
The bigger rounds make more wood in a shorter time, however some of them have knots buried deep inside so they need to be turned. Smaller rounds just need a couple pushes through and done.
@MulletMan7-nw9kzАй бұрын
That is a great operation there❤😊

Great video! Y'all making short work with the 37D!! I've noticed most of you guys prefer the box wedge over traditional splitting!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
@Back40FirewoodАй бұрын
Thanks. I think the box wedge is preferred because of the less handling of wood for re-splitting, at least that's what it is for me.
@lyleharkness-rv5vfАй бұрын
Great looking splits 👍 Good seeing you taking a trip back to Rick's 😊
@Back40FirewoodАй бұрын
That wood was coming out looking great, but that's because Rick is pretty selective on what he decides to split. The better the wood going in, the better the splits coming out...lol 😀

hi there well done , best to all john

Awesome setup!👍👍
@Back40FirewoodАй бұрын
It definitely is a great setup for getting a lot done, having nice logs/rounds helps as well. No crotches or big knots to fight with, just levers to push...hahaha

Killer work you guys did. Got all the toats full and then some probably... I thought it was pretty cool to hear L.B.M. has a kit. I was a professional drummer in a Country Western/Country Rock Band back in the late 70's through the 80's. I love to see the young peaple get interested in music. My grandson plays piano & guitar, the others play nintendo... I don't have a kit anymore, there's not enough room here for drums and all my wifes shoe's and bags and what not... No rain in a while, but plenty of frost in the mornin'. What do you think of the truck??? The pine logs go to the mill until they get permisson to harvest the oak for firewood, maybe sometime in january... Till then, I'm good for now. Stay cool & keep pushin' on... Peace...
@Back40FirewoodАй бұрын
The truck was looking good...oh so those logs weren't for firewood? Hopefully the Oak will be as nice of logs...ha. Yeah LBM likes banging on the drums, not sure how much he understands other than just making noise...hahahaha

Whats the make, model of the green harvester that picks up the trees...thanks, Bill
@Back40FirewoodАй бұрын
Not sure the model but it is an Avant mini loader.

What was LBM doing on top of the log pile? It looked like he was practicing fly casting. Bill
@Back40FirewoodАй бұрын
I have no idea what he was up to...lol...I didn't even notice until I watched the footage. He found these big weeds and I guess decided to go wave it around on top of the logs for some reason....hahahaha

This splitter seems to slow down even on the easy logs
@Back40FirewoodАй бұрын
Nah...there's a lot going on both inside the logs and when pushing through multiple angles of steel. Still much faster than using an axe! Hahahaha
@jbbrown7907Ай бұрын
Something is not right. This splitter shouldn’t be slowing down so much.
@TonnsfabricationАй бұрын
It's splitting 7 pieces of chestnut oak at a time, it's gonna slow down to do that.
@jamesbaintonАй бұрын
The 37D really only slows down when it hits a big knot and even then, it just lugs down and gets it done. That wood looks straight grained, but if you look in the split pieces, you will notice the branches, etc. which are embedded in the wood.
