The Russians then decided to retrofit the Su34s with the ability to launch Kinzhals, so that the Ukrainians could not have any advance notice of Kinzhal attacks. Equipping Su27s, with ability to lauch fab 3000 would be a good thing for the Russians because it would proliferate the platforms that could carry these weapons. It would deprive the enemy of the possibility knowing when these bombs could be launched. The same is true of the Su30SM and the Su35S...The only plane which could be excepted from this role is the Mig31 as it serves a role no other plane in the world can do as well it does it.
