The USA however, saw it as a grand time to destroy Russia, so enacted sanctions and continued to ship Billions of dollars of munitions to Ukraine (hundreds of Billions). As long as Ukraine is hosting armed forces on the border, and as long as the Nazis are fighting in the Ukrainian military, Mr Putin has made it clear that he will go as far as it takes to make sure Russia is secure. One aspect that deserves acknowledgment is the ingenuity displayed by both Russian and Ukrainian forces in adapting and modifying weaponry at a fraction of the cost compared to highly advanced U.S. technology. Consider the contrast between inexpensive drones equipped with improvised explosive devices, secured with simple zap straps, costing only a few thousand dollars, versus a sophisticated Javelin missile priced at nearly $100,000, yet serving the same purpose of neutralizing a tank. However, the Achilles’ heel for the United States lies in its exorbitant costs, which could potentially lead to economic turmoil in the event of an all-out World War III. As we contemplate the aftermath of such a global conflict-hopefully devoid of nuclear weapons-one cannot help but wonder about the state of the economy. Will we find ourselves in a depression, grappling with hyperinflation and unprecedented poverty? The answers remain uncertain, but the impact would undoubtedly be profound
@elmateo774 ай бұрын
Nah, the US has a neat strategy. We manufacture weapons then sell them to our allies at a profit, and have our allies use them on our enemies for us. Also, trading either a $1000 drone or a $100,000 Javelin missile for a $3,000,000+ tank is a pretty good deal.

The US is dependant on global supply chains and the stability of the countries around those supply chains for its economy. That is a major strategic interest. Not to mention that there are places where people actually want to hurt the US for imperialist reasons not because of anything the US does. The US can provide financial support to allies to do the fighting for it or it will be pulled in with its own soldiers then have to pay in blood as well. To think the US can close in on itself is naive and demonstrates a lack of understanding of the global order. Unless the goal is to give control of global supply chains to China and Russia. Then they will use that control as a weapon against the US. Then Americans will be even worse off.

Even before this conflict escalated over 2 years ago, Russia had 4 times the population of Ukraine & 5 times the GDP on a PER CAPITA basis. This means that Russia’s economy was 20 times greater, MEANING UKRAINE CANNOT WIN THIS WAR. The difference is even greater now with 1/4 to 1/3 of Ukrainians pissing off overseas with no intention of ever returning & Russia occupying the industrial Donbass. BASICALLY THE DAY THE SANCTIONS FAILED IS THE DAY UKRAINE LOST THIS WAR. The end result is that all helping the Ukrainian military does is guarantee more Ukrainian military fatalities than there otherwise would be, before Russia inevitably wins. As if half a million military fatalities isn’t enough for Ukraine. BTW the operation north of Kharkov is just a feint to force the Ukrainians to pull forces aways from the rest of the frontier. Ukrainians themselves don’t want to die for Zelensky & his Oligarchs, that’s why the’re not allowed to leave & are kidnapped off the street by thugs who have quotas to avoid being sent to the frontlines themselves. Gez NATO is paying Romania to mine it’s border with Ukraine to deter draft dodgers going that way, that’s the way this war is going, till the last Ukrainian. There’s a reason Zelensky cancelled the elections, he’s undoubtably the most hated man in Ukraine, he has no support outside of Kiev & Lvov, oh & the region north of Lvov.
