CRV Off-Roading: Soggy Simonsen Rd/ DIY Awning Test

For today’s adventure I’m heading 25 minutes Southwest of Eugene back out to the Simonsen Rd BLM area. I test out my new DIY awning shelter and setup a mock campsite. There is also some mud, foggy roads, and hidden mysteries. Follow along!

I’m going to put together a more in depth video on the awning build soon. You’ll have to come out here with me sometime. I find a new cool spot or two every time I go out.

Another rad video, making me wanna get out and explore again! Btw quick life hack for showing incline/slant Try and get a video from inside the car wide enough (phones work best, gopro has too much distortion) that you can see your entire windshield and front end. I've been calling it passenger perspective, it works surprisingly well, as you're right in the centre of gravity of the car and seeing exactly how much you're leaning. If you can figure out a way to secure a phone filming in the back seat or even between the headrests in the front you'll get the perfect view

How flat do the rear seats fold? I’m thinking about buying a CR-V, but i’d like to sleep in the car, not a tent. Do the rear seats fold flat (same level with the trunk floor) and is the space from the trunk door to the front seats long enough for a 180cm guy to sleep on?
