My question is: Why couldn't Batman give the data to Vicki Vale *AND* Gordon? Like, I get that he only has the one disk, but couldn't he just copy the data onto another drive and give one to each person? That way, the data will seem even *more* legitimized, and it can go super public while helping cops take down Falcone. Plus, it would make it safer for everyone too. Like, Falcone can't just try and kill people who have the info if EVERYONE knows about it. Actually, Bruce Wayne is fucking rich and has endless resources, he could literally make hundreds of data disks and send them everywhere in the city. Hell, he could have made the entire thing part of Harvey's campaign, by saying something like "Everyone thinks I'M connected to the mobs? Look at Mayor Hill and all this shit." Like, that would make it obvious that Mayor Hill had something to do with soiling the Wayne Family, which would make his corruption even more obvious. Sometimes I think Bruce purposely sets up scenarios just so he can do his Batman thing. But, I still love him though

You're applying too much logic, I think. I mean, with his infinite fortune, he could do a lot more to address the root causes of crime (poverty, lack of opportunity, despair) than he will ever accomplish by punching people in alleys. But, then he wouldn't be Batman.

It is kind of a glaring hole in the plot, to be honest. Digital data can always be copied, even if it requires a gigantic drive to do it. There's really no excuse for not giving that data to both Gordon and Vicki, or other possible trusted individuals. The problem, though, for Bruce to openly say he gave out the data or somehow imply he acquired it, is people will be asking questions about how on earth he got his hands on it. People would be asking even more questions, especially in the wake of the accusations against his family, since it could very easily look like he's desperate to shift the blame. Some might even think the 'evidence' on the disk is falsified somehow. Kind of like the 'evidence' that was 'found' on his family. Like you said, he's a multi-billionarie with unlimited resources. The kind of resources that could be used to convincingly fake a lot of evidence. As for Mayor Hill's reputation in this, it could be spun either way (and most definitely would). Him having all that information on Falcone could be spun as Hill gathering everything needed to bring Falcone down, without any chance to weasel his way out of his punishment. Remember that the disk only held information about Falcone's dirty dealings, there wasn't any mention of Mayor Hill actually being involved/responsible, and it wouldn't surprise me if none of actually did directly state it.

Yup, I definitely agree with those points! But, truthfully that's the kind of thing I really like about this game. The whole idea of focusing more on Bruce Wayne's balance between being a public figure as well as a masked vigilante is something I don't remember really seeing before. Sure, some movies/shows have focused on it, but nearly all the video games involving the character are just "Batman does cool stuff and punches people". This game has a better focus on humanizing Bruce, especially since Batman is sometimes viewed as an almost God-like character. Despite the plot holes and deep, complicated political schemes, this is a risk that Telltale took, and I'm really glad they did.

Telltale seems to constantly stray away from the main story of each series they do, so they can have their own semi-canonical view. In this case they couldn't exactly do that, seeing as it's Batman. However, instead of focusing entirely on the bat, they shifted the view to encompass that and Bruce as well as his family as a whole. Well played Telltale.

I'm so excited about how Telltale is going back to the roots of Batman being a detective first with the 'connect the clues' sequences and the 'plan of attack' sequences, instead of just the meaty adrenaline filled actionfest that the films seem to prefer. I thought Telltale was a great match for highlighting that part of the Batman franchise, as well as bringing to light the political and social manipulations for the Bruce half. A game with mobsters and politics seems perfect for Telltale's branching storylines and dialogue trees. I particularly like how anyone who's familiar with Telltale's storylines knows by now that each action choice will have consequences down the road-- So I wonder if that makes people think twice about being too 'brutal' or 'cruel' with the heroic main character, facing a similar struggle to what the Batman character is usually shown to struggle with internally. Tl;dr: I'm very happy that Telltale is doing Batman in a very Telltale way.

I like how they use purple as Batmans accent colour, instead of the blue we always see. Also, as the end when he was shouting, Troy didn't sound like Bruce, he sounded like Delsin or Rhys. So many things like the movies water "bruce" down into just some asshole who mopes about women he can't have. It's so nice to see him as an organic character, building relationships and that telltale understands the bat is not more important than bruce. This is why I was excited for a telltale batman game, arkham asylum was awesome ( city was ok the rest sucked ) but I'm just excited to see one that focuses on a story rather than just solid action sequences and gameplay.

EMP can't go through too thick of walls or effect properly insulated equipment. I'm guessing that gun in the case would be high grade tech not to be taken out. What's more EMP does minimal to no damage to something not currently active and running with electricity. If that button worked on a switching on/off system there is a chance it wouldn't have been taken out either.

As for the rest Minecraft is not good, GoT is boring and cliched as fuck, Batman looks good so far, Wolf Among Us pretty good but lets not forget that Walking Dead was not their first game, not even their first in the Telltale format and their history isnt good in a lot of peoples opinions, so maybe learn a little history and know that opinions vary before you accuse someone of having their head in their ass simply because they have a differing opinion.

I was skeptical of coming to watch this series, but you know what? This was insanely well done, and you weren't kidding with how they upgrading it lol, I guess they took out the coding for spamming A, just to help upgrade visual effects? idk, but compared to the other Telltale games you've played for us, this one is really high quality now, graphics look amazing, gameplay mechanics kept the reaction based fighting style that I liked, and the story itself is great. I wish I could afford to get this, I'd like to play through it.

anyone well versed in batman lore able to tell me anything about the validity of the Wayne family having ties to the mafia actually being something that the cannon material has dealt with? Or is still strictly telltale original, if so i'm a bit saddened by them running their name in the dirt like that.

The Wayne family dates back so far into Gothams history. They were one of the first families in Gotham and literally helped build it. Falcone tried to buy them off, Thomas Wayne declined, it didn't go well for him.

Telltale really pulled out all the stops for this one. They give you combat, like every Batman game, and their signature decisions. Absolutely phenomenal. :)

that's their signature style. all other gaming studios have their own style as well. which is why sometimes when you play a different game, you get the feeling it reminds you of another game. usually it's because it's made by the same studio or crew that worked on other games. personally I love it because I immediately know it's telltale. all artists have their own style. :)

First, you see the Vicki Gordon decision as a really hard choice that could go either way on either one, but then you remember it's telltale. You're getting screwed either way.

I didn't really like this. The game, not the video. I don't really like the writing in this, seems less batman more telltale. I don't know, maybe I'd like it more if I could play more towards my style batman. I'll stick to the arkham games.

I'm with you on this one. It actually seems kinda slow paced for a Telltale game, which is weird considering they're known for story telling. They're also taking the most satisfying thing from Batman games, the fighting, and proceeding to give us slow-mo and quick time events and the same time.

Yeah something wrong with the writing. BatCry obviously didn't "beat the man half to death" like this game states after the warehouse section. They probably rushed this out or are just giving a false sense of choice.

This is what I like about Telltale. People complain that the choices don't REALLY matter, but whether they do or not, doesn't matter to me in the least. Because the stories, the writing, the character development, everything is so. goddamn. well. made. Good job, again, Telltale.
