3:21 Chester you’ve been around since I was a kid man. I was 7-8 years old when I discovered you. I never fit in anywhere I was. I was short and mixed. I didn’t like listening to rap like everyone else. I always felt casted out. My parents always arguing about something, whether it be church, my dads ex wives, my mom leaving the house, or money. I was always fighting demons as a kid and I’m fighting even more now. But you’ve helped me get through so much. My high school experience was painful, Covid hit and my junior year was cut and half and spent senior year online. Here I am, 20, after being at 2 colleges, no friends, trying to talk to people but no one wanting to talk to me. And I’m still the same person listening to your music. God I wish I can just hug you one day in the afterlife if I ever can. I go through so much man, so much pain I can’t tell anyone about. And it won’t help telling anyone anyway. You knew that there were some pains that just can’t be explained to others. I love you man. ❤️🔥

This is not the end, this is not the beginning Just a voice like a riot rocking every revision But you listen to the tone and the violent rhythm And though the words sound steady something empty's within them We say yeah with fists flying up in the air Like we're holding onto something that's invisible there 'Cause we're living at the mercy of the pain and the fear Until we get it, forget it, let it all disappear [Chester:] Waiting for the end to come Wishing I had strength to stand This is not what I had planned It's out of my control Flying at the speed of light Thoughts were spinning in my head So many things were left unsaid It's hard to let you go (Oh) I know what it takes to move on (Oh) I know how it feels to lie (Oh) All I want to do Is trade this life for something new Holding on to what I haven't got Sitting in an empty room Trying to forget the past This was never meant to last I wish it wasn't so (Oh) I know what it takes to move on (Oh) I know how it feels to lie (Oh) All I want to do Is trade this life for something new Holding on to what I haven't got (Yeah, yeah!) [Mike:] What was left when that fire was gone? I thought it felt right but that right was wrong All caught up in the eye of the storm And trying to figure out what it's like moving on And I don't even know what kind of things I said My mouth kept moving and my mind went dead So I'm picking up the pieces, now where to begin The hardest part of ending is starting again Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh… [Chester ('til end):] All I want to do Is trade this life for something new Holding on to what I haven't got I'm holding on to what I haven't got I'm holding on to what I haven't got [Mike:] This is not the end, this is not the beginning Just a voice like a riot rocking every revision (I'm holding on to what I haven't got) But you listen to the tone and the violent rhythm Though the words sound steady something empty's within them We say yeah with fists flying up in the air Like we're holding onto something that's invisible there (Holding on to what I haven't got) 'Cause we're living at the mercy of the pain and the fear Until we get it, forget it, let it all disappear

To be able to hit these notes night after night, while going through some really heavy shit, is so impressive. Maybe that’s why. Because everyday I feel like I wanna trade this life for something new. Holding on to what I haven’t got. Rest easy Chester. You have impacted so many.

Waiting for the End has always sounded better live than in studio - especially when Mike yells "GO!" right before the final lines of the track.
