The 46-year-old former forward says he had a moment in the coronavirus pandemic where he was 'crying almost every day for no reason'. Henry has linked his mental health struggles to his past and a search for approval, having grown up with a father who was critical of his performances.

In hindsight he played with rage. Ruthless efficiency and a singular desire to win and crash everyone. It helped him eventually

It’s not depression it’s the pressure to perform . Which is the difference between a winner and a loser .

Crying for no reason I really understand that it's like you're asking yourself why and your brain wouldn't give you a reason it's just constant mixed emotions

if you have depression it is well known that your emotions can be very fragile and many people can go through long periods of deep sorrowful sobbing...as if it were grief ..that kind of pain really only eased with medication and therapy..

“Crying for no reason” - wasn’t the reason that he was isolated on the other side of the world from his family?

do you cry every day without your family? If yes, there are some bad news for you.

Yes family was one of the reasons. But when you bottle up emotions, don't show emotions, you numb yourself for extended period of time like Henry said during the podcast, it accumulates over the years while on in the inside its dying to let it all out. Then one day for no reason you just start wheeping and you cant explain it, happened to myself couple of times.

Anyone can have depression . No matter what they’ve achieved . TH14 is the best striker I’ve ever seen play , but we all feel down at times . It takes a real person to admit it

I think theiry needs a bit of Andrew Tate . Henry wasn’t depressed but rather the pressure to perform made him believe that he could always perform better .

Achieving material goals equals to nothing for your inner center. You can have billions and still be lost in life. The ultimate truth is to face yourself, the rest is just an entertainment.
