Like, I'm pretty PRETTY sure that was the first time ever they explicitly said someone was dead. They said in the special, the reason the burrows were disappearing was because the wish changed something so big that the whole timeline was erased. This was an extremely strong episode/special for Marinette. Seeing her so dead inside but she keeps fighting was amazing. Her being in a moral dilemma the entire special and still doesn’t know if she made the right choice at the end was incredible and I can’t wait to see how that plays out in season 6. I was coming into this special thinking I would feel so bad for Adrien (and I do, tremendously) but Marinette…I wasn’t expecting this for her. The writers did an amazing job.

This special was so emotional. Seeing Bug Noir/Marinette so broken down made me feel so bad for her. While I'm still iffy about the decision to make Chat Noir not part of the final, I do kinda get why Marinette wouldn't tell the truth...She doesn't know either. She want's so badly to be honest, but know's that either way will hurt Adrien. And Adrien's breakdown was sad to see, the voice acting was really good. I do think the special was a good setup for S6.

Lila's own akumatizated forms have such smart powers! The first can define the time she wants to teleport back by the phone and use the handclocks as a button to activate these jumps. And if it gets destroyed, the phone immediatly 'pull' her back to where and when she started safely. And the second literally is a intangible ghost that can steal anything without having to turn tangible (which makes her basically unstopabble). If thats what Cerise did at her FIRST time as a villain, imagine the threat she is going to be having a full season of work 👀

To be fair, it makes sense for Marinette not to tell Alya. Sure, they're best friends, but if she told her, why not tell Cat Noir? I know he's Adrien and she doesn't know she'd be telling Adrien if she tells it to Cat, but either tell everyone important without picking who you'll tell, or don't tell at all. It will be hard for Marinette to keep this secret, but since she feels obligated to, she doesn't wanna tell anyone. It also makes sense from a writers perspective

Very happy that this special tied up some loose ends for Season 6. I know that it couldn't be shown because of time constraints, but watching Adrien break down crying over his dad's "sacrifice" felt way more emotional to me than...suddenly transitioning to him being happy at a pool party, like he didn't just lose his last living parent a month ago. And I respect how Nathalie was willing to pay for her crimes, even if she was talked out of it. And I wasn't sure how Cerise would be as a villain, but if this is the kind of stuff she can come up with, I'm actually excited to see how she works! Where was this kind of good writing when it came to her lies?! And that final scene where Ladybug and Chat Noir hug made me emotional! They both need lots of hugs and therapy!

11:07 I feel like the journal writing is her way to express her emotions and also some sort of back up if ever she did forget who she was by some sort of accident, akumatization or lose her power as the Guardian. So keeping a journal is a 2-way street. It could backfire if an enemy sees it but it could also help her if something made her forget she's Ladybug and/or a Guardian. I'm actually glad that a lot of her circle already knows her identity so they could help her out if ever she needs to.

I love that this special wasn't really about justifying the poor writing in the finale, but more about salvaging, filling in the blanks, and setting up the next chapter (I love how so much hinges on that one lie, there's a lot of destructive potential in that, not just about Adrien, not also everyone's trust in Ladybug). But it does seem like they're completely dropping the Sentimonster story. But I need someone to clear something up: Do akumatized people really never remember what they did. I can't think of a specific example where one did, but it doesn't feel like something that's established. Every time Gabriel did it to himself, he didn't seem confused or to have any questions.

ngl when Marinette went to bed, I thought that Cerises wish was Marinette having a nightmare. But once Alex saved her I could tell that it wasn’t a dream. I’m glad that we barely got to see Adrien because we needed to see how broken down Marinette was as well as her inner turmoil. And while I don’t usually like time travel, for this particular episode it works because they apart from getting the miraculous to and from her past self they don’t go back more than a few hours. Marinette’s new outfit was amazing. And every scene with Natalie was just amazing. Natalie was there for Marinette in a way no one else can be, yet. I can’t wait until Natalie finds out Adrien is Cat Noir although now that she knows Ladybugs identity that’s probably not gonna happen.

I really hope Marinette faces the consequences of all this lying, but I don't think it will happen, it feels like Thomas is making it look like the correct decision. It's so wrong, Adrien doesn't have autonomy for knowing anything ever, and Marinette sees him like a glass boy that won't handle the truth? People keep underestimating him in facing the grief that this would cause. And this caused leaving Tomoe free, like, she is a terr*rist, but "people can change"? All this can be accepted in the story if they deal with this like it should in the future.

It's not the correct decision is Marinette is constantly asking people if she did the right thing or not. She is doubting herself, because of that, it means that she also doesn't believe this is the right thing to do.

There is no right choice. Marinette continues to ask for reassurance the entire movie to know if she did the right thing or not and the two older Bunnix tell her either choice would have had good and bad consequences but she will be fine in the end.

1 of the comments said that they can see Adrien becoming a villain later. And it's tragic how realistic that viewpoint feels. After everything what this boy went through, he has more emotional and understandable reasons for becoming a villain than anyone else in the series. God knows, what will he do if he ever becomes one - he may be the ultimate and final villain who Marinette will have to defeat, what would be a tragic yet understandable ending (with him being saved at the end, of course). Imagine how it would hit us if he suddenly killed Lila out of nowhere as she was about to do something big evil, seizes the miraculous from her and boom, a villain instantly. That would be a huge turning and dramatic point in the whole show.

Even if Adrien has a villain arc, I think it will be for a short time, because I think Adrien is more afraid of becoming like his father, who was a villain. He would rather avoid it than become one. I think that Marinette's true ultimate enemy will be herself, a much darker and more evil version of her, from another universe and not Adrien. Because there must be another universe version of Marinette who isn't pure goodness and forgiveness, but who is pure evil, who loves nothing, who is full of hate, who isn't like Shadybug, who was brought back to the good side, a much darker one who would remove all universes and their versions of herself so that only she would remain.

As SmartyPants said in his review of the London special the wish that Lila made could’ve been to erase all miraculous and kwami from existence throughout history this would explain why a lot of the tunnel started to go dark because it would have to be something pretty big as he said.

I think Lila's wish is just for everything to revolve around her and only her. She seems to be that type of narcissist. The main reason she despises Marinette/Lady Bug is they refuse to be fooled by her act, and in her mind that's the one thing that absolutely cannot stand.
