You talking about panning multi-layer high-detail pseudo-animation made me immediately think of Sleeping Beauty, which is completely my favorite Disney movie (apart from Fantasia of course.) Dear god the background art in Sleeping Beauty is _stunning_ and I never realized it til watching it as an adult. So yeah, there are compelling reasons to not animate something and labor saving is only one of them.

Yo, you can use a program called Pyxel edit to make sprite animations. It has timeline features, layers AND onionskin.

Watching this video now, I feel so awful about how my FNAF World animation is looking, and it's also using still images in its animation. Oh well, the sooner it's done the better. hey ummm cyn could you try a sfm animation it would be really cool to see you break down the mechanics of 3d animations like that also i think you should do meet the soldier since there is alot of camera work and the movement makes you feel rushed like a soldier oh and one last thing dont take my heads these heads are mine

+dainxjac It's really easy, especially when the developers open up the game to mods on purpose, like this one. I could go in and change every texture, character, sound effect, and piece of music if I wanted. I might even be able to insert my own cut scenes and story - but that would be a bit more difficult.
