I would love to see an analysis of this specific *kind of trope* because I've seen it used perfectly a couple of times to redeem a character. The other time where I remember it being used greatly was Zuko from ATLA, the whole island chapter makes him look extremely pathetic, in a good self reflective way and then we have the comedy gold of: "Hey, Zuko here" that completely takes all of his menacing air away.

Objection! Dracula is from Romania, while Edgeworth lived in Germany. Not only are Romanian and German accents different, but Romanian and German aren’t even a part of the same language families! Romanian is a romantic language (the only one in East Europe) while German is a Germanic language. While there is a German minority in Romania, overall Edgeworth couldn’t’ve had that accent!

From Edgeworth being so done due to Oldbag, to him hitting his desk while telling Wright to *not* do so, to then object and say he couldn't come up with a question while he was objecting, as the intense music stops..... Those moments alone made me absolutely love Edgeworth to the point of being very invested in his backstory and the whole case that followed this one. He's such a great character!

I don’t normally say this about games I like. But I think Ace Attorney is a “comfort series” if you will. I got into the franchise back in 2015, before the latest mainline game was released in 2016. Ever since then, I fade in and out of the fanbase, but sometimes fans like you reacting to the series draws me back in. I miss Ace Attorney so much. Please savor what you have in front of you for as long as you can.
