Sorry everyone, the clip where I discuss the canisters keeping the water clear i accidentally deleted. In short, I have an fx6 with all bio media, mainly marine pure spheres, and I have an fx4 packed with chemi pure blue. With bio filtration and something like chemi pure blue the only way you'll have cloudy water is if you feed too much, stir up the substrate too often, or have a very heavily stocked tank

More of a 125 gallon showcase than a “how I keep my water clear” video. Either way, beautiful aquarium 👍🏼

Sweet! Whatever happened to your Tropheus albino kipillis? I don't seem to recall a video on those in quite some time.
@adamc79183 жыл бұрын
I ended up selling them a while ago. I really needed the space and their aggression was wearing me out
@phillymanpete3 жыл бұрын
@@adamc7918 Tropheus are badass, but it takes a lot of work (and $$$$) to establish a large colony with the correct sex ratio so that the aggression can be minimized. Anyway, those albino kipilis are very cool!

Yes, I could have kept them and it would have been fine, but I had a good offer and I sort of needed the tank space

Yes they can be. My old chilotilapia rhoadess would destroy snails. Id hear him cracking the shells from across the room.

If you dont want to add fish to eat them you could always treat the tank with a snail killer, but you have to remove all your fish

Have you used just Purigen and had the same results or only Chemi Blue is that just Purigen with Charbon mixed?
@adamc79183 жыл бұрын
I have used purigen and had equally great results. I prefer Chemi pure blue because it lasts significantly longer than purigen and I dont have to tend to the canisters as often with the blue

Hi Kevin, I understand your frustration. My group hasn't bred yet, I'm keeping them intact until I see which male is willing to breed. At that point I may or may not consider selling a male, but I will be selling juveniles when I have them
