Milton Kaseke Thank you for posting this never heard before jam. It's a phat track as is, but someone from the Uptown Records camp should've jumped up on the cut and spit a couple rhymes after the 2:44 mark like Heavy D, Father MC, Buttnaked Timdawg, Little Shawn....somebody. It just seems appropriate for this song to me. I would love to get a hold of just about everything that Uptown Records shelved. I do have a tape recording of the Horace Brown tape promo which has a song (How Am I Supposed To Know) that I noticed is not on the CD version. I still need to digitze it, which I tried but didn't work out for me. How did you get a hold of this? Is this your personal copy? Sounds like a tape promo (from the sound quality). Keep 'em comin' :-)

+wswing Hi William, thanks for responding back. Do you actually have some unreleased Uptown Records music? I tried to contact them back around 94ish to do an intern. I called and all I got was some girl with attitude of the phone. lol I should have just went directly to NYC back then but it seems like there was a lot of stir-up going on in that record company. I would love to hear stories from somebody who was there during that time. But would love to link up with someone with the shelved music. I heard that there were tracks from Nesto Velasquez that got shelved and even a Lost Boyz album that got shelved. BTW, I'm not a facebook person. Is this an OK forum to get a hold of you?

The only unreleased Uptown sets from that period are Nesto Velasquez, Lost Boyz, Horace Brown and Notorious BIG. Horace's uptown album is also on KZbin.

illlmatic 4 life Oh, I've known about the Horace Brown HB album for some time. I actually have a copy of the tape promo of Horace Brown. It has a track called "How Am I Supposed to Know" that didn't make the CD promo. It's basically another version of "Just Let Me Know" but I like it much better than The Characters production. I'm not DJ savvy so I haven't been able to upload it on YT. I really want to convert it to digital before the tape degrades. It's a total injustice to have shelved that Uptown album. He should've just released that as his Motown release and used the other tracks to make a second album. Been looking for Nesto Velasquez. It must be extremely rare because the only cat that I've heard talk about it is Nesto himself on an interview uploaded on YT. I haven't heard Biggie's Uptown unreleased album. I'm assuming that it's not much different from the Bad Boy version. I was thinking that Party and Bullshit is the only track that differs, which was on the Who's The Man soundtrack anyway.
