When an aerial patrol machine begins making drops near an important base, it is up to a unit of hardened soldiers to clear the area of deadly machines before they can infiltrate Crystal Peak and bring down the human resistance.
This Terminator Short Film references the whole series while telling a new story that explores the possibilities of the Terminator universe and attempts to answer a question posed by T2.
*Advisory* War violence, copious gunfire, and brief language.
Filmed on a beat up Cannon 7D using minimal resources with great ambition, we wanted to create an action packed Terminator Future War movie that would be fun, entertaining, and filled with references to the franchise (however obscure) for people to pick out.
Thanks to Detonation films and their extensive library of explosive effects, Fright Rags for making a very good terminator mask, and fxtattoo.com for their excellent products. Many royalty free stock effects were used in the making of this movie, but next to no CGI. All stunts are real, we have the scars to prove it.

that's got to be the best line in any movie going ''you know how to make a battery, can you produce oil. no, then move on'' instead of some far fetched crap to make it work. but of realism(says tongue in check) rather than Holywood dribble.

He improvised that line. I looked at those first scenes with the soldiers like a wrestling promo: Give them a general idea of what they're trying to get across, let the actors play with the scenario. Keep the stuff that works and cut the stuff that doesn't. That line was a gem.

i wanna see a sequel to this where when John reprogrammed the Terminator they had issues with theT-800(or T-850) glitching to it's original programing but still manages to fight it, and when they traveled back in time it was in Terminator 3: rise of the machines, and after T-850 succeds after Judgement day began, that's where John wanted to reprogram him, (explains how he got the exoskeleton in your Terminator universe)

Good luck on the script. I'd like to read it when you finish. My fan films are fully based in what we can actually pull off otherwise I would have had some bigger industrial locations and more intricate machine fx. Not a huge fan of CGI, so kept things ground level. No sweeping helicopter shots of armies of Terminators. ONE is bad enough. Wanted to reinforce that idea with the immense body-count.

I really like this fanfilm, I can see all the effort you all have put not only in front of the cameras, but also doing your best to have a terminator mask, show his robotic hand and etc. And for me, a good story is more important then amazing effect and CG. This script fits great in the timeline (wich is better then changing it, hollywood should learn that haha), it tells a new story, we see more of the resistance fighters, and the end with... *SPOILER AHEAD*... the chip the resistance would reprogram and use in the end of the war to send "Uncle Bob" back is awesome! This is just amazing and really the kind of story The Terminator not only deserves, but it's what we should get on the big screens too. All of you have my respect, writers, actors, cameras, sound and video editors, make up team, all of you, great work!

I’m glad you enjoyed the movie. A lot of love went into making it even though half the time we weren’t sure if it could all be pulled off. The goal with any project like this is to make the movie you’d want to see...then reconcile that with what’s possible based on the resources you have. Do we have 200 million dollars? No, but why let that stop anyone? Minus a few technical things, this is exactly the type of Terminator movie we wanted to see, so it’s the one we made. I definitely didn’t want to rewrite any of the time-lines (like some of the more recent movies did), so keeping the story “ground level” with the resistance fighters was always the plan. If it acts as an entertaining “what if?” that Terminator fans can enjoy, then mission accomplished. Thanks for the support.
@MatheusYami
@MatheusYami 4 жыл бұрын
@@MrBnetV You all accomplished that! In my mind, this whole fanflim is canon in some alternate timeline where things don't go crazy (after salvation) and we all can enjoy a great terminator story with new character, a new t-800 model, and a lot of details and references respecting the original and moving forward to the big final battle to send the protectors back and kinda start all over again haha, but at the same time, showing how humanity won the fight against skynet! I'm already a fan of this channel after that and I can't wait for new productions!

I love those little story details you put in that serve purpose, for example: when the resistance soldiers find that red 4wd car mysteriously in the middle of the battle field with no engine or battery in it and one of them says "why is this here?" Then you see the figure of a machine rising up in frame which begins shooting, now you realise why the car is there, the machines are using it as bait to spot and kill humans. P.S. I know this is probably no big deal but I do appreciate your effort and attention to detail 👌🎞️🤗

one serious question, done in this and pretty much every film going, the guy with the shotgun, trying to shoot that terminator from that distance, dude you got a shot gun it aint going do a dam thing at that range, wouldn't even scratch a bloody melon at that distance, don't waste the dam ammo. not a nit pick at you guys, as like i said pretty much every film makes the same mistake. A train soldier, would know the limitations of their weapon and wouldn't waste the ammo shooting at that range.

Bruh, that massacure should not even happened in the first place, they would of had heavy weaponry at the base like 50. cals, mines, RPG's and more to deal with stuff like that. These guys have never seen the movies.

Good points, but the massacre was so much fun to do! Why let logic ruin it? We never said these resistance fighters were smartest lot. Let's assume they were ill equipped to deal with an 800...which they were :)

Did sometimes skynet give an order to a terminator simply to follow a person instead killing him or her?
@MrBnetV
@MrBnetV Жыл бұрын
Probably. We tried to have it both ways in Crystal Peak. The initial order was to infiltrate the resistance and gain the location of their base. Once the location was had, then there was no point in maintaining "infiltration mode." Good excuse to have a massacre after that.

The terminator concept has led to two mega cult classics in T1 and T2. After that the concepts have been woeful. Hollywood simply needs to stop over intellectualising their craft. Make exciting films. Why it’s not occurred to them to make fan film concepts is beyond me....it’s what we all want to see.
@MrBnetV
@MrBnetV 3 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel with each subsequent sequel (More advanced Terminators, more confusing time travel paradoxes, retcons, reboots etc.), the Terminator powers that be would have done well to make a Trilogy that ended with the future war and brought things full circle. Technically, T3 does that in the last 10 minutes. Salvation has its moments, but is muddled and convoluted. Genisys and Dark Fate both had that problem as well as the retread issue. All the Terminator movies have their good points and faults, but there were some EXCELLENT comics in the 1990's by Dark Horse and Malibu comics that did a much more succinct job of continuing/concluding the story. Telling a story through action is much more attractive than endless exposition. Schwarzenegger has a few films under his belt that make the case for action films as high art (Conan the Barbarian, Terminator, Predator, Total Recall). Keep the plot simple and stuff it with details and symbolism I say. That approach certainly makes films have more re-watch value -- like classical painting.

Salvation was the aesthetic inspiration (plus with so little to work with, daylight shooting was necessary). We just tried to keep the story straightforward and heavy on the action. Salvation IMO was a great looking movie, but muddled where plot was concerned. Keep it simple, right?

@@MrBnetV yeah, i wanna see a sequel to this where when John reprogrammed the Terminator they had issues with theT-800(or T-850) glitching to it's original programing but still manages to fight it, and when they traveled back in time it was in Terminator 3: rise of the machines, and after T-850 succeds after Judgement day began, that's where John wanted to reprogram him, (explains how he got the exoskeleton in your Terminator universe)
@MrBnetV
@MrBnetV 3 жыл бұрын
Sounds fun, but didn't the T-850 kill John Connor on July 4th 2032? In my little world we assume that not all Terminators look like Arnold. The outer shell can look like anyone. Franco Columbu, Lance Henriksen...or me. Once the chip is out it can be inserted into any other model. I like the idea of a Terminator fighting it's programming, and that was one of the better things in T3. "Desire is irrelevant, I am a machine!" There are two competing scripts for a follow up to this. One is a direct sequel, one is a bit of a prequel. Which one gets made depends on what people are available, but hopefully within the next year. A lot of other projects are in the pipeline for this channel. More Terminator is definitely part of that.
