I rediscovered Pokémon during the pandemic! So fun to see you opening this set. This is so nostalgic to me. I'm 25 and started collecting towards the end of Base set, but started playing a little later when base set 2 came around. The first cards I ever played competitively were from BS2. I'm so glad I never threw my old Pokémon cards away! I actually have two of the crystal Aquapolis Pokémon and never knew they were this rare! Always brought them with me to school, just to look at. Unsleeved of course xD I was today's years old when I discovered that my old cards were actually this valuable :O Went looking for my old cards and found my binders and the decks I played with as a kid today. In my enthusiasm I promptly purchased a Vivid Voltage Charizard Theme deck tonight. Very excited to try playing with modern cards! I placed a pre-order on a 'Shining Fates' V-Box as well, but I don't know if I'll enjoy opening these Booster packs... I only know generation 1 and (most of the) 2 Pokémon so I don't know if SF will be very enjoyable for me. I stopped collecting during EX Ruby & Sapphire because of all the new Pokémon that were added; it was hard to keep track of. Also felt that the artistic value declined significantly after Skyridge. Ruby & Saphire wasn't enjoyable enough to keep me in the hobby and I completely abandoned it because of it. But nonetheless I'm very eager to open up Shining Legends and the modern zard theme deck next week :D

What a beautiful set all around. Some of my favorite holos ever! That Houndoom is excellent. Wish we could have seen a holo Umbreon come out of this box. Favorite crystal has to be Kingdra. So majestic. Keep up the great work Rev.

Crystals come in the same spot as the holo. For instance, you are exactly as likely to pull that holo Steelix, as you are to pull a crystal nidoking or any other crystal. The only thing that makes them rare is that out of 35 holos, only 3 are crystals. So that gives you an average of pulling one per box. You could pull all three but that also means (Based on the odds) That there are two other boxes out there with no crystals in them. Hope this helps.
