Sometimes I feel there's a hole inside me an emptiness that, at times seems to burn. I think if you lifted my heart to your ear, probably you could hear the ocean. And the moon tonight, there's a circle around it. A sign of trouble not far behind. I have this dream of being whole. Of not going to sleep each night, wanting. But still, sometimes when the wind is warm or the crickets sing I dream of a love that even time will lie down and be still for. I just want someone to love me. I want to be seen. I don't know. Maybe I've had my happiness. I don't want to believe it but there is no man, only that moon.

My life has not been easy, but that does not make me special. I was bullied all the into highschool. I was told I was ugly and many other things. Every relationship I have had the person left me for someone else. I did not want children but at the age of 36 I was pregnant and devastated. But when my daughter was put in my arms and I looked into her beautiful eyes I was overcome with love. The strongest and deepest love I have ever felt. All the years waisted searching for something that did not exist. And in my arms holding this tiny little girl I knew I had found it. True unconditional love. Every time I hear this song I think of her for me it describes how I felt when I looked into the eyes of my first and only child.

I’ve never seen this movie, but my aunt who just passed was a witch. This was her favorite movie, and this song we played at her service. I learned recently that my uncle was someone my aunt had dreamed of since she was young, same name, same hair, same clothes, etc... and they finally met and had a deep love and connection for 18 years until she passed. She manifested her husband in a way, just like this movie from what I understand. A true witch. I love you auntie, you’re with the fishes and birds and cats and trees now.

Stevie Nicks is one of the greatest singers of all time. Every song that she puts her voice to is enchanted. I discovered her music when I was a teen in the 00's. This is when people forgot about her and was listening to Mary J. Blige and Tupac. I was enraptured by Stevie's songs, lyrics, and voice. My friends all thought that I was crazy. But I, like Stevie, just marched to a different drum.

Athena really ? If she wanted to become a witch ,throwing bible verses at her would change it. By the way, witches do rule. Blessed be.

When i'm having a bad day I just turn on this song and it makes everything better. Even though it makes me cry every time, sometimes it's what people need. I'm 16 years old and I love everything about Stevie. She is just amazing. I love Practical Magic. My all time favorite movie. I watch that movie at least twice a week. It makes everything better. So magical. Everything about her is magical.

All the Owens women kept their hair long. Because it added to that power they had over men. No, that's just my interpretation. Sandra was the only one of the adults with long hair, the rest wore wigs and extensions. Lovely movie, I know it word for word and I also read the book. Beautiful soundtrack too.
@star.tears11110 жыл бұрын
1GirlieGirl I think it is a correct interpretation..i also think long wild swirling hair adds to their witchy vibe. I just finished the book! it was different from the movie, but still very good.
@1GirlieGirl10 жыл бұрын
winterprincess Yes, the book was different. Certainly not as glamorous! In the book Sally didn't speak for a year after her husband died. As others have said, it's a great old house in the movie, they built it for filming and then demolished it. I would have LOVED to live there.
@msblackpinkie686610 жыл бұрын

This movie and this song make me feel so many things. I saw this movie once or twice when I was younger and have come back to it now that I am older and have lived through things that have changed me. I relate to this movie so much because I'm a practicing witch who happens to live very near where this movie was filmed (like a 15 minute drive), and my dearest sister and I parallel these two in many ways, when I watch this movie I always end up missing her and our connection again ( we live far apart now). This song moves me because I have always felt a deep connection to the sea, and this song brings home that feeling. Love Stevie, love this song, this movie and the feeling of home that it brings, it reminds me that I have survived the things of my past, and I grow with each day with help from those I love and who finally love me too.
