That's kind of the sound they were going for tho. It's to reflect bands like The Doors and The Velvet Undeground in a very spooky way. It's very haunting, the voice.

When i first heard Crystal Stilts I thought they were a 60's band. Some mentioned they are reminiscent of the Velvet Undeground and the Doors.
