Coconut oil actually makes bleached hair brittle. I was so damn confused why my hair was breaking after using coconut oil and when I spoke to my hairdresser it's because it weakens it. Good on dark hair though.
@nikolagacek2348
@nikolagacek2348 6 жыл бұрын
Sebell no worries! Its actually because coconut oil is very heavy. Since bleached hair is already weakened by the whole chemical process applying something that weighs down in it causes it to snap from the pressure. I use almond oil which is great, and you can add some honey and eggs into it too :)

I was finding the same thing, until i finally went to a hairdresser when it got so bad and broken so short, and she told me it was bad for my hair and i was double processing it because it pulled the bleach onto the already bleached parts. its taken a year for it to grown to a reasonable length! Hey tip, if you use 10 on your back and then 20 on your front it’ll even out the processing times. And you won’t have to wash out at different times. I know your comment is from a year ago but I thought I’d help 😂 low and slow is always better for your hair and sanity.

@@samanthaemery9598 I'm gonna try it because I read several ppl saying you can mix it with just water only to lift a little better than just a bleach bath so I think doing it with water or just the 10 would be perfect for what I need. Who knew!?!? I'd try a strand test first!

The difference between the different developers-10% to 40% - is actually the TIME of development . 40% much faster than 10%. So if left on longer 40% WILL cause more damage than say 20% left on for the same amount of time . And if you get the coconut oil on virgin hair 8t will prevent colour removal

The kind of bleach definitely makes all the difference. Of course the better, more high end/ expensive products will work better and be better for your hair than some couple dollar package of bleach. The best bleach and developer in the world is blonde me, both bleach and developer together seriously protect your hair while the bleach has bonding agents in it to help prevent hair breakage. Definitely look into it. I know I'm behind on the video but whatever 😂
