Thanks so much Crystal! That was such a beautiful message, I've been struggling trying to find my style and I think I've been putting too much pressure on myself which is taking away the joy, and the joy is the whole point for me. I'm going to give myself time to play with all the styles that interest me and grow into the artist I am 🧘♀️🌈💜
@crystaltanart Жыл бұрын
I'm so glad! You know, you probably already have a style but just don't know it yet. We all do inherently. I see alot of beginners feed on insta, and although they are doing tutorials of other teachers, they ALREADY have a style. It's just harder to see it on our own. Its easier for others to see it. Keep your intuition honed, and you'll know!

Great chat Crystal! Thank you for validating what goes thru my mind while painting😊 and giving us permission to "go our own path." Example, I keep trying to use Hookers Green, thinking that it will grow on me, because soooo many people use it - and I just don't like it. I am now going to remove it from my pallette 🙃. You are an inspiration and I really enjoy these chats!!!!
@crystaltanart Жыл бұрын
Love the hookers green example you gave. So true! I have that in my palette too just coz people have said to use and try it. But it's just not what I go for most often at all. Time to swap it out with something! Thanks so much for watching Tracy! X

Dear Crystal, I appreciate being able to listen to your advice about watercolor and the techniques you share. I'm in Florida, 4 old Potbellied Pigs to care for, so my time at present isn't what I want it to be. But 2 or 3 may not be here much longer. But that's ok because we have cared for them for about 18 or more years. I just wish that I had more time to paint. Maybe not much longer.👍🏻 Not that I don't care for them. Anyway, please continue to share your techniques. Greatly appreciated.☺️

Being a caregiver of another, whether of the human or animal kind is a great great responsibility and an amazing gift you are giving another. 18 years is a long time! More time will come. We all live in different seasons of life. Try and grab a few mins here and there.

Your channel is so therapeutic for me. You articulate these emotions and struggles that I have as a artist that feel difficult to explain to the people in my life who aren’t artists. Watercolor is my first love and my artistic foundation, but I have explored so many styles and mediums over the years. And although I don’t have a perfectly cohesive portfolio of work, I know in my heart that I have to continue exploring and evolving at the pace my creativity chooses.
