Oh yeah! I do do that a lot! Not all the time, but pretty often. I picked that up from @kristyrice I believe! She teaches us how to mix on the paper and not on the palette. Love it!

I went looking for zinnia videos and somehow just knew I'd find one you'd done!! Beautiful! They're a tricky flower with all those petals 😮

Yes so tricky! Since painting this one, I've tried zinnias again a few more times and I think a small filbert would be a an easier way to make them. Maybe a zinnia 2.0 video!
