Its the same Problem as with GTA V. It still generates recurring revenue. So there is no incent to change the way it works. A sentence comes to mind that you might already have heard: "Never change a running system." They might already have ported CS:GO to Source 2. But they will not release it as long as CS:GO in its current state works. It will take a great effort by the playerbase to stop playing the current CS:GO to get innovation. In these times money is everything.
@MperAule3 жыл бұрын
@@Lino1259 Tbh I think someone shouldn't compare those 2 systems. Both have huge revenues - totally agree there. That slows down development for a new title or updates. Personally I think Valve rests more on that fact though. But other than that they have different huge problems to face imo. GTA 6 has to be a giant game. GTA 5 is so good, it's gonna be really tough to top it. Especially online. So I'm pretty sure they will polish the hell out of it before it releases in a few years. CS:GO on the other hand has a bigger problem imo. Recreating the exact/almost exact feeling in a totally revamped engine sounds like a horror task to me as a dev, even though I'm not a game dev. It's super difficult to nail the same physics and feel in a different engine. They might be better off releasing a new CS in the future imo.

Valve said some times over reddit that full port wont be suitable but rather including feature from source2 to csgo (like panorama) And new engine means new bugs (happened with dota) and It d not be a good idea to have the game Broken when its alredy polished And well, the low spec users are a thing , source2 wont rly help them But who knows what hardware ppl ll have in 2055... Will low spec users still be a thing in 2055? Thats the important question

Ppl wont play them ,the fps ll be garbage unless lot of detail is removed
@tropicalfruit45713 жыл бұрын
@@Ultra289 Correction, people with absolute dogshit PCs and laptops wouldn't play them because of low fps. If you have low end setup you need 60-100fps, if you have high end setup you need 150-300; nobody has 144Hz monitor on a bad setup. CS runs on a potato so if those maps would be optimised I don't see why would they run worse than the already existing maps. Cache is a technically complex map and it was running just fine after one optimisation update. Say what you will but the people that can barely run cs on 60fps on lowest settings are like consoles in the gaming industry, constantly slowing every advancement down because you want to consider them. The truth is you can't hold a game stagnant because some 5% of your player base can't run your game if you do anything new; the other 95% will be happy to try new things and maybe bring in new players. Sad reality but I'm tired of people crying about low fps on new maps in cs. My old PC (which would be now 9ish years old? and was not by far any good) can run CS on unstable 100fps, give or take, on medium settings. That PC was like the bottom of the barrel when I had it and it was dirt cheap. Some shitty i3 and radeon gpu with 512mb vram... 512mb! You laugh at such amounts today. And yet it's enough to enjoy CS on at least 60fps today in 1080p. Game has to move forward whether you like it or not; there's CS source and 1.6 for those who don't feel that way. I'm sure majority of playerbase would play the 2055 maps if they were introduced in an operation or an event of some sorts because majority of players don't have PCs from 15 years ago.
@Ultra2893 жыл бұрын
@@tropicalfruit4571 but in order to optimize it ,lot of details have to be gone... This map has more detail than cache and ancient combined.... If not even with removing props at a close distance is enough ,then it ll be almost impossible to make this map that optimize to the point most of the ppl d actually play It, also that these maps are identical to the current maps ,knowing that there is the exact same maps but with more fps why would anyone go and play these overdetailed maps ,these 2055 Maps are just not made for competitive play, thats a fact ,just knowing this fact ll make most of the ppl to not even touch them You mentioned cache here and thats what fmpone did ,making over 5 aggresive optimizations to the map by removing all the green thingy and lots of details, but these 2055 have too many details that in order to make It playable lot of its beauty has to be removed ,but then if you remove It then there is no point on playing them since there is the other current versión of the map that is exactly the same but with more fps This just d not work, when ppl want a new operation they want new maps that are at least competitively viable and playable, non competitively viable just wont take off and they wont be played (like dust or aztec....) And specially if you add lot of pointless details like these 2055 Maps, It ll just be more reasons to not touch it Game has to move forward... Ahmm you forget that is counter strike , a classic game with a classic formula that never changes.... And now that the game is more competitive than ever ,maps Witt such details wont take off... You are wrong on that ,1.6 and CSS are for those who doesnt want a competitive experience and no toxicity... And well hehe the nostalgits
