6:03 You've just reminded me a situation on Inferno B afterplant. It was 1v3, I was one of the three Ts. Bomb planted for coffins (if you watch bombsite from coffins, it's the upper left of fountain). A good guy killed my teammates and I was hidden in church (or construction or ruins, how you call it). I heard he was defusing and I made something I didn't expect. I see him, that he was sticking that defuse (that means I made a good choice that I peeked) and I didn't shoot, only waited till a guy sees me and stops defusing and I gave him so solid headshot and I wanted to make Russian "URRRAAAAA" shooting in the air with my USP, but I don't hear any shots. My teammates scream and then I realise I was completely out of bullets and that round I shot a CT was the last one and I didn't see how many shots I had.

I really liked this type of educational content. It's very conceptual and applicable, and it gives us an idea of how to play a situation so we can take your information, digest it and take it a step further in our own gameplay. I would love to see more content like this. I noticed in Rank S, steel was counting CT utility, and I've been trying this in my own ESEA pugs. It would be wonderful if you could give an outline of how to play gun rounds from a default, gaining early map control with necessary utility, what you can do with that map control (including some creative smoke options), looking for early picks and warding off CT aggression (Overpass is a good example with CTs being able to push early connector or party with an AWP for early picks and information, doubling up on long close up with rifles, molying and flash-pushing construction, etc.), the process of chipping away for information at each site, setting up the execute, entering a site properly with your teammates, and setting up for a healthy post-plant. Also great would be your thought process when going into multi-faceted situations, such as when to peek and why, how to use certain cues to decide on which utility to use and when, how to not get screwed over by timing (aka holding an angle for 15 seconds, pulling out a nade, and instantly getting headshotted), etc. The decision-making that goes on in a high-level player's head as the round is played out is essentially what I'm looking for.

WarOwl thanks for helping with some tips on this. I had the exact situation at 9:25. Bomb planted with a 1v2 on Mirage. I was trying to hold palace and the CT's tried a fake difuse on me. Didn't end up clutching sadly :(

My favorite thing is to plant and smoke a common corridor. Then put my crosshair on the bomb and walk back into smoke. As soon as I hear defuse, just spam the bomb area. Works like a charm. Also, using your radar to aim while in a smoke/behind bangable cover.

btw if ur CT and u have a smoke & molotov left you can just stick the defuse by throwing the smoke & then throwing the molotov and at the same time defuse. They wont be able to hear the sound of the defuse because it will be covered by the sound of the molotov extinguishing

Thank god you finally did a video about this topic! It is just so frustrating when you are watching an idiot trying to clutch for example a 1v3 and then he is just hiding and playing the bomb when he should be trying to find kills before CTs group up. So annoying to play with these people then when you say to them that what they are doing is wrong they say that he/she is playing correct, because he/she is playing the bomb. For crying out loud.... :D

If the guy has bad aim then go train your aim. It is pointless to play the game wrong and blame your aim about it. The only point when you should do this dancing part is when you literally can't beat your enemies and you are just trying to play time as much as possible. But before that you should ALWAYS try to get postplant frags.

For me, the best tip in these situations is play with the psychology. Plant in the most unconventional spot and defend from the position where you really shouldn't be. Also, things like that jump bluff from the first clip works most of the time. Do it when the situation allows.

this might be a good idea for an in depth video on How to self analyse while watching your match replay. like- go over your shooting pattern. see your flashes. Like.. the things that one should look out for when watching a replay. This would make a good video because I am totally new to csgo but have been putting alot of hours in it (~40hours till date) and getting custom maps to practice. But when it comes to watching my replay. I just dont know very well what am i looking for. (partly it might be my limited knowledge on how to use the demoui which i m trying to learn but its difficult maybe talk about it in a video as a side learning) BTW awsm videos mate love ya!

side tip for messing with the fake defuse: if you hear enemy defuse, don't peek out and attack, instead peek out your shoulder so they see you and get sp00ked because that way no matter if it's a fake defuse or a real one, the person will kinda have to stop defusing because he KNOWS that you're there and you can just kill him
